You graphic-whore
I'm not a graphics whore. I just think he should post decent looking screenshots of a game when he's trying to prove the graphical capabilitiels of the Wii. SMG and SSBB were great examples but No More Heroes just doesn't look that good in a screenshot, although in motion it's good.
I want to ask you an honest question..Were the jaggies the first thing you noticed about the screenshots of No More Heroes?
Honestly?
In the screenshots, the jaggies are VERY noticable. In action they are not.
I'm just telling you what I see.
I wasn't asking if they were noticable or not, but were they the first thing that you noticed about the screens?

I have to blame the quality at which they were taken. :PYou post screens from one game and call it a day? Fanboy alert!
Wii is last gen. Get over yourself.

[QUOTE="slothboyadvance"]It's easy to point out jaggies when theres a lot of them. Can you honestly look at this screenshot that the TC posted and say it's current gen graphics? Sure it's art ****is nice but it is technically weak. I'm usually not up on graphics like this but it annoys me when sheep try to compare the Wii's graphics to other current gen consoles (and vise versa). I thought we all already established that Wii is more powerful than the Xbox but not nearly as powerful as the PS3 or 360.
foxhound_fox
Firstly, we're talking about graphics not gameplay.
I can't show you a game with a "better" art st-yle because our perceptions of "better"a re different.
I can't show you a game with the same art st-yle because no art st-yle is the same.
(Why can't we say st-yle?)

Turn back a page. The Wii cannot compete with God of War 2 on the Playstation 2. As they say, /thread.RedfingersAnd I say it can. /thread reopened

Then Congratulations! That proves that you aren't a graphic whore. (I know you made your point about that earlier, but I just wanted to make sure.) Â
The sword is cool. Thank the game designers for that one.

[QUOTE="Uptown"]current-gen? No. Good last-gen? Maybe.renger6002what does current gen have to do with graphics?
It's consider "next" when you take a step forward. Technically, the Wii take the hardware spec a step backward (Look at last gen games like God of War, Ninja Gaiden...)
Even the controller, the so-called "casual friendly" approach is also a step backward (don't expect any professional esport on Wii with that level of control) It attract people that normally don't play video game. That help the company on sales. How does it gonna help me ? I'm already a gamer for 10 frigging years.Â
[QUOTE="Redfingers"]Turn back a page. The Wii cannot compete with God of War 2 on the Playstation 2. As they say, /thread.foxhound_fox
Not only God of War is technically superior to most if not all current Wii games, but it`s artistical style also surpasses them. And people asked for more examples. Well, how about Shadow of the Colossus, or Okami. Compared to Okami, most Wii games that aren`t a minigame collection seem quite ... conventional.
[EDIT] ... oh, and about that 'Wii is at the beginning of it`s life cycle' idea ... Remember how the Wii was presented to the developers ? A similar architecture with the Gamecube but more powerful, so devs familiar with the GCube will instantly become familiar with thw Wii... So, safe for the new controls, devs should feel just like developing for a faster version of the Gamecube. How they end up failing like that ? Probably it`s the fact that it`s not a _much_ faster version of the Cube.
Seriously i dont understand the point of showing bad screenshots (which is an abundance of Wii games thus far)...and try to then pursuade people that its current-gen...it doesnt look any more advanced than Xbox.UptownNow you see that Link in my sig...Yeah....Click it. The keyword in your post is "looks" let me tell you that "looks" can change over time kay?

Umm was that link supposed to own me? All your link does is explain how the Wii can perform things the Xbox and PS2 can......thanks for backing up my point.Â

Oh come on, there are some environments in Red Steel that look better than anything in God of War 2. No, I'm not joking. And as for the motion-sensing comment, I don't consider a gimmick like the six-axis next-gen at all. Besides, the PS3 controller feels like something from a 2nd-hand store.
How is that? Because the graphical specs aren to up to another system.A Wii graphics thread!:lol::lol:
lol, what an embarassment to the sheep.

[QUOTE="Redfingers"]God of War 2? And...? How is this even relevant? Bringing up God of War 2 graphics vs ANY Wii game = self ownage. Those screens have been cut and resized, the game looks MUCH better than that, even on a SDTV. Try using an example of a crappier game graphics wise, God of War 2 owns in graphics.
There you go.

Are you kidding? How is showing the graphics of the Wii supposed to help this argument? Even Nintendo states that the Wii cannot compare to graphics of other nex gen systems.
Seriously, go back to the sales arguments...

jaggies dont matter on SDTVs they blend it and make it all vibrant.Â
