First off let me just state that I owna Gamecube and N64.

Nowlet me just saythat it is sad that the Wii is being bought so much and enjoyed apparently. I haven't read or heard anyone bash it. But from what I'ved played and seen of it, I have to a conclude that the Wii is just bad for gaming it doesn't do anything but to say its different and have last gen graphics.

I really think people are missing out on the better choice of the360 which has tons of fun games.The PS3 is too expensive right now but even at the high price it is at now it is still a better choice than theWii.

That you are complaing and crying over a console selling more then another. Sales don't matter. Owning a GC and N64 doesn't justify your feelings. If you hate the Wii so much then buy 10 PS3's and 10 360's and tell all of your friends to do the same.

It does have some minigames (like all consoles) but it also has great games like twilight princess and SPM

oh and BTW, telling us you have a GC and N64 doesn't give you any credibility. I have a ps1 and 2, but that doesn't make me unbiased if i choose to bash the ps3

I agree. It's really week. It doesn't have REAL online and the controller isn't that great . Also it's loaded with minigames and all you have is the kiddy nintendo characters ...yay great...let's save the princess AGAIN.turgore

Sad to say, but EA has made the best example of how the Wii controller can make a game better than it was before. Add all the HD graphics you want, but Madden hasn't been fun in quite some time. Play the Wii version and it actually makes you enjoy the gameplay.

Not to say that there aren't other games that make good use of the Wii controller... Wii Sports Bowling, Trauma Center, Excite Truck, and Scarface also use the controller remarkably well, Madden is just the best and most suprising example (mostly cuz it sucks on any other system).

You know what the Wii delivers? Innovative gameplay. That's one of the sources of its success. From your words I can conclude that you have never touched a Wii, despite you saying having played it.

And how does it dumb down gaming? You can't even give (proper) reasons... another failing Wii-bashing thread.

I completely agree. They're trying to move gaming in a new direction instead of just pushing graphics every few years. If anything I would think focusing only on better graphics, which really just means expensive consoles that overheat easier than before, is something negative. It seems like the push Microsoft and Sony are trying to make is all about online which has been great for years on the PC. If you ask me, Nintendo has it right. The most important factor of gaming to me is fun. Nintendo always gets the fun part right.

I like the Wii itself, but as far as the games, there aren't really any games that are out there that I want, except for some future releases. I think the Wii is good for those who aren't looking for the type of games you see on the X360 or PS3. It is great for families and especially younger children (being above the age of 6).

As someone stated earlier... the Xbox360 and PS3 are just graphic upgrades. Gameplay remained the same. As for the Wii, the gameplay has evolved, and the graphics remained the same.

If you see a problem witht he Wii, just get an Xbox360 or PS3. I have an Xbox360 and I can't really compre it to the Wii. Apples and Oranges. Both systems go for different demographs.

get rid of the games for a second and look at the hardware. The wii is a cheap gimmick system with motion sensor controls, the xbox360 is a solid gaming machine with great potential, and the ps3 is high priced more advanced gaming machine with tons and tons of potential. every generation of gaming in the past has pushed the envelop in gaming. but the wii just made there gamecube a little better and smaller and slapped some motion sensing controllers on it. while MS and SONY took giant leaps with top of the line technology
