The Wii : Secondary console . Everyone Agree?

One of my greatest regrets out there is the fact that some games just are not ment for the Wii remote (its a great controler don't get me wrong, games like RE4 are fantastic on it), yet some how devs think it still needs it. For instance Marvel Alliance, I loved it on my friends Xbox360 its one of thsoe games that will become addictive for quite some time, die off.. Wait a few months and pick it back up..

But its actually very poor on the Wii due to the control scheme of it.. The game would have been perfect if they just made it for the classic controls.. But some how the stupid devs thought it would be cooler to use motion controls on a beat em up game where motions such as thrusts barely ever register.

What are secondary systems? I generally play the hell out of all game systems.

Wii lacks just about every franchise that is not Nintendo´s so games like GTA IV , COD4 , UT3 , MGS4 , FF13 , RE5 , Killzone 2 and God of War3 would be missed

The best primary console should be PS3 since games like Resistance provide one hell of a online experience.

Xbugs 360 is not reliable and definitely not worth 400 bucks ,

KZ2 and God of War 3 are being developed by Sony. Of course they'll be missed, Wii and 360 alike.

No thanks for the Wii until it is 50 bucks. By then it will have the 5-10 games I would ever want on it and I won't spend too much mony on it. Until then, 360 for me.channtheman1

So what's my point? Dude come on, put your fanboyish remarks away, it's quite clear that you're gaming preferences are not that far from what the Wii offers. Now if I looked at your gaming history and it looked like: PREY, F.E.A.R., Rainbow Six: Vegas, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 3, Darkness, Quake 4, Perfect Dark Zero, then sure I'd tell you that the 360 is definitely the system for you, and that the Wii is probably not your cup of tea, however that's not what I saw.

I only have a Wii and I am pretty sure it will be my main console. I kind of like 360, but I really can't see myself spending that kind of money on more video games, especially when I just want to play Gears of War.

Really, Ican have fun justplaying first-party Nintendo titles--the more serious ones like Mario Kart, Brawl, BWii, Fire Emblem, SMG, MP3, LOZ: TP, etc. (hopefully new Star Fox, Custom Robo, Kid Icarus, and Mario sportsgames). Plus, you get Soul Calibur Legends, GHIII,MOH Heroes 2, RE: UC, and a new Crystal Chronicles game. And the Virtual Console is pretty cool.

The Wiiisn't bad at all. Is there something wrong with liking Nintendo games?

I only have fun with the Wii (brother's) when I play it with other people.

But we only have two controllers, possibly because they are 60 freaken bucks.

I'm excited for Brawl but I wish Nintendo had made a more beefy console with the Wiimote as an add-on used by some games.

my wii is my thirdiary(?) console. i have my PS3 for RPG Action adventure platformer sports, 360 for shooters, and wii for......well.....um....drinking games?hustler_151

Wii is a great console for drinking games. By the time people start playing it, they can't tell the difference in graphicsbetween the Wii and PS3/360. It is my quartiary console. Order goes X360, PC, PS3, Wii in order of preference.

I think Wii60 or WiiS3 are good choices.. I'm going with WiiS3 myself..

the 360 is my primary platform, i would go and buy the wii next, i think that the ps3 is gonna die out like the gamecube did, i yhink sony will lose sqaure enix in the near future from lack of sales. ALso all the ps3 fanboys seem to only bag out halo, say that mgs4 can't play on the 360 (lies, it is all in the programming) and that the 360is crap because it is unreliable which microsft has fixed with the new 65nm cpus to be used and the 1.1 billion dollar warranty they offered.

the wii, very fun to play, but not for the serious gamer.

I couldn't imagine having it as a primary console.

Yeah, i like 1st party Nintendo titles but Wii IS a secondary console. It will get about 1-2 great games a year(mostly 1st party rarely 3rd party) with the rest being non-gamer type games along with mini game crap.

The Wii only works as a secondary console if it has games I actually want to play, not nongame trash like Wii Fit.
