It's been a fun ride, while it has its shortcomings, it also has some of the best games this gen, and Super Mario Galaxy is on its own level of greatness. Happy Birthday Wii :)
[QUOTE="gameofthering"]I think Zelda will be the last Wii game I'll get. Currently 5 hours into the game :)BrodomskiThe only reason it's worth living in Europe. At least you get Batman(PC) before us :(

Happy Birthday Wii :)madsnakehhhSuper Mario Galaxy isn't actually fun to play. People just pretend it is because they think they're mature for not dismissing a game that many deem kiddy. Like, "Yeah, I'm so above the fear of being branded as childish, my favorite game is considered kiddy. Do you believe me? Huh, do you? Because it really is. I swear."
It's had a good run. It's been lacking in releases, but it also has some amazing games of its own, particularly my favorite game of this generation, Super Mario Galaxy 2.

You could say the same about Zelda. SMG is, IMO, the most fun game to come out this generation (2 to be exact), and it's not because I like to be considered mature. It's that it's immature to divide things into childish and mature where the true problem lies. You shouldn't have to be preoccupied with such silliness when you've grown up.

It's just not fun to play, has too many repeat missions, is too easy, and is really boring. Call of Duty delivers constant excitement at every turn, but the "REAL grown ups" prefer kiddy games like Super Mario Galaxy.
Are you serious? :|lancea34I know someone like that in real life. Conversation between him and me: Him: So did you play Super Mario Galaxy 2? Me: No, I don't like it and have better games to play (and girls to **** but I didn't say that because I didn't want to get him jealous because he's a virgin). Him: Why, because you think it's kiddy? Me: Nope, it's just not fun to play. Him: But stuff exploding at every minute with testerone-fueled military men shouting aconyms out is. Me: Yup, I prefer shallow instant gratification action. Poor me. Wish you could have fun some time, too, but I don't think your ego would allow it.

No, they're not "acting" grown-up, they are grown-up. CoD, I find, is dreadfully boring. Repetitive missions, short storyline, unfocused multiplayer, unclever premise, and twitchy controls. SMG is brilliantly designed, with a clear focus on fun, not being mature. I'm not pretending, and if you continue to claim so, you will be lying every time about something you have no clue about, aka my own individual self. Get off your high horse and learn that fun isn't bound by age, but by what you prefer the most.
And my quote, at least, is from Clive Staples Lewis.

Hmmm...ok.
Anyway, i also need to mention Super Smash Bros Brawl, easily one of the best games this gen, i honestly don't know how many hours i have put into this game.
5 years of not touching a wii :D.. dont think i'll ever touch a nintendo system ever but seeing Wii U is going HD we shall see how games will look on it and if good could be 10% chance i get one lol

Seriously, dude? The game is awesome, and a ton of fun. One of the best platformers ever, really.

It's ironic that you're being the most childish person here :P Your trolling; it is obvious.
This topic by the TC started out with such promise.. and then I read through his replies. Lol.
Anyways, due to a financial hardship, I had to sell my Wii to my bro. Which means when I'm home over X-mas break from college, I'm gonna play the **** outta Skyward Sword, NSMB Wii, Tiger Woods 2011, SSBB, and try Mario Galaxy 2 for the first time.
Damn I miss my Wii. Happy B-Day.

Happy birthday, 3rd most played system I own this gen!

I hope it's behind the PC, and DS for you otherwise....
It's behind the PC, for sure. I got a DS late into it's life, and I'm playing catch-up. :P[QUOTE="SW__Troll"][QUOTE="DarkLink77"]

Also, it had Pokemon. Any system with Pokemon will have me logging in the most number of hours of playtime.

Edit: Am I a bad person if my favourite Wii game is Trauma Centre (which was a launch game)? :p Hopefully Skyward Sword or Kirby's Return to Dreamland can change my opinion.

Just like the Gamecube, I'm going to make a list of some games I had fun with on the Wii:
First party:
Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 (first one was better in my opinion)
Metroid Prime 3 (played both the censored and uncensored version)
Donkey Kong Country Returns (that title does not lie)
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Third Party:
Sonic Colors
Tomb Raider Anniversary
Call of Duty 4
Goldeneye 007 2010
Tatsunoko vs Capcom (best fighting game on the Wii in my opinion)
Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 1 and 2
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
And there are other Wii games I'd like to get (just like any other console I have) and others I did like, but didn't mention. :)
