I am fine with this, i preffer a game that is not broken and filled with bugs...something some other devs should work on

Hell, even the news being released was delayed, announcing the delay.

Well, I guess it's good they delayed it if it was having trouble. However, I worry about this game. I still think it's too ambitious for its own good. CD Projekt are talented developers, but I didn't expect them to go from a cinematic Mass Effectish RPG to a complete open world game.

Can someone post some footage of the current state of the PC version then? Because all we get is console tier crap screens and they don't even specify a version. If the PC version wasn't downgraded i'm inclined to think they would be showing it off - but they have shown nothing on the level of that gif

Lems were really looking forward to having this game to deal the fact that they don't have any other high profile games to look forward to the first half of 2015 and as a cop-out response for what they are playing against early 2015 PS4 exclusives. Awwh Hell Project CD REd what have you done?

This announcement is only a heart breaking revelation to xbone only owners and to a smaller extent PC only players. PS4 owners have high profile games releasing in a steady stream in 2015 so this delay just gives us time to spread out game purchases. Sux for xbone owners I guess but really no sweat of of any other system owners eyebrows.

If the difference between ps4/x1 and pc is as big as it is in those pics, do you think that its a smart move to release the crappy version on the primary system(s) that will earn em the most revenues? What do you think those console owners are gonna say when they see how behind their version is compared to pc? Some will buy it on pc (the low percentage of gamers that own a rig and consoles), others may buy it anyways cuz its 'probably' a good game, but many will say f*** this shit and won't buy it at all. If you downgrade to the lowest common denominator it will sell equally, for the most part. This is probably what's happening with this game (just like what happened to watch dogs) and everyone is riding CDPR hype train blinded by their "we haz no DRM cuz we cool. We the best in the industry, buy our products, grab the collectors edition since you're at it!!! gogogo! guys, buy our game, guys".

I could seriously see this happen from a mile away. I don't want it to happen cuz its my top three most anticipated titles of 2015 but something is fishy with this so called 'one of the, if not the best devs in the industry'. They distract you with "no DRM" bs while doing shit they shouldn't and everyone is happy and don't ask questions.

@silversix_: I wouldn't be surprised if Sony had a term in their contract saying: "You must not release a version of the game that completely humiliates the PS4 version."

i wouldn't be surprised either. How much damage would this cause if their brand new 'next generation' console looked this far behind? Damage control would be hard on this one because CDPR isn't known at half assing their ports. So an ugly version is directly tied to the specs of the system and that's what they're trying to hide by downgrading on all platforms. Hopefully that's not true.

• Most of Witcher sales on PC
• Most PlayStation owners don't even know what Witcher is considering Witcher 2 was only released on Xbox and sold poorly too

Do you only on consoles? Also, uh no the game doesn't require a powerful rig, just a graphics card upgrade for most which would be equivalent to a cost of LESS than $300.

Oh and just to be clear, yes maximum setting requires a $$$$ PC, but most games are perfectly playable on medium or high settings.

On every game, you do not need 100+ fps nor is it completely unplayable sub 60 FPS.

And the kicker is, it'll still blow PS4 graphics out of the water.

I'm OK with the delay. I'm budgeting for Valentine's Day anyhow, so all the better. Better a delay than a broken launch (like Unity.)
