Sexual elements in the storyline of a movie, game, or book can be utilized to aid in character development and drive forward the plot of a story. It has NOTHING to do with "stimulation" and being horny as you're childishly implying. I'd be surprised if you hadn't just hit puberty for saying something so immature.

Besides, in the games being discussed thus far, sex is NOT the driving factor of the storyline. It's just an extra added storyline element among many others, and stripping out that element to suit the ideals of some religious group or organization is idiotic. It's part of the game and should not be forced to be censored.

Sex is not pornography. Sex can be used to make characters have more depth or to advance a story. You don't get turned on by the idea that a person's parents once had sex to make them, do you?

Americans are prudes. Has to do with the puritan influences and all that mumbo jumbo. I don't think a few bewbies are going to hurt anybody, but parents seem to think if people are exposed to a body part they become sexual deviants.

Adult videos have sex scenes too. And they are much, much better than any video game.

its an element of the game, it maybe important. Its the same as if a romantic movie has sex scenes. If wanted to see sex, I would do it or get some pron, but thats not the point here. If I pay for a game, I want the full version, not a censored version. I am 19, so I should be able to get all the content, thats why movies and games are rated right. If a 18+ movie would've been converted to a 16+ movie it make sense that it would be censored. Bt if t stays 18+ why censor it. Im older then 18 so I should get the full game, full movie. Wouldn't you be pissed if you bought a ticket for an 18+ movie, and you're older 18, and the movie is censored, even though the target audience is 18+.

Why is sex in mass effect not censored in the US? This is what I don't get, from what I've heard it isn't a simple fade to black screen it shows it like a movie would.

Although I do wonder how the hell "SexyBack" got into mainstream videoplay, that had a sex scene in it, which was pretty obvious. Maybe Mass Effect is like that, but The Witcher doesn't sugar coat it.

Nope because unlike most people, my imagination is incredibly wild and I love it when director's give me the option to interpret what they're suggesting on screen. Which is why movies like Hostel and the Hills Have Eyes aren't as rivetting as other movies that have disgusting scenes.

But yeah we can all talk big and loud and proud about what we can and can't watch in theory. Then when a movie like 'Irreversible' hits you it's a complete slap in the face. Not sure how similar the Polish are to the French, but if that game presents the subject matter in anyway like that film, a lot of you are going to be in for a complete shock. It ain't pretty.

I dont think the Wither shows rape does it? :I maybe a woman being attacked and you but in, and then suggests it, but I dont think they actual show that.

Most adult RPG's have thoughtful content, heck even all-age RPG's , this is just set in a dark world that mirrors the reality of hours abck the medieval times with rape/opression/poverty and Religious Zealotry.

They make better stories, thats just fact.

I just think people are afraid what the kids will do if they get their hands on sexual content. But that's stupid, and we don't live our lives like that with other socially acceptable controlled content. Ifkids get their hands on a gamethat contains humping, then that kids partents are to blame,and there's no need to punish everyone because we fear for the children. Your kids, your problem... don't make society pay the bill. If you'd let your 8 year old play grand theft auto, video games are the least of his/her problems.

Well thats not true, and if you trace the roots of religion, the Crusades and the Inquisition specifically, most religions were founded on violence as a way of reformation and control...(ex, Bloody Mary, burning of heretics, etc..) but now its different.

those are people exploiting religious works for their own acts. nowhere in the bible does it say that it is justified to use war as a way to convert people in the same way that there is nothing in the Quaran that states that being a suicide bomber is fine and dandy.
