The Xbox 360 has passed my PC and has the best FPS

How does that strike you as odd? What facts do you have that show the PC is better for FPS then consoles...besides your opinion?Cityboy_

He's got a point. It's a theory and it gets challenged by marginal philosphers.

Matchmaking, however, is not aa theory.

wow level 1, here are a few

1. MUCH better graphics, not slightly noticable in the least unless you are farsighted or something

2. Mouse and Keyboard is sooooo much better, controllers feel like swimming in honey

3. If you want a controller, thousands of 3rd party possibilities exist, hundreds of joysticks, many wheel + pedal combos, and other cool accessories like headtracking hardware, ballistic vests which hit you where you get shot (no. i don't have one, but it's cool), etc

4. Framerate on consoles is awful, many games are locked at 30 which gives me a headache, and action scenes frequently put it sub 20

5. Mods and user generated content may not be available for all games, but almost any decent game has a good mod base which adds infinate fun to games like Half-life 2 or Crysis

6. Mount and Blade

More customizable sound options, for instance, I have a headset that has 4 speakers in each cup and a subwoofer with rumble all in the headset, and also a 5.1 system hooked up to an x-fi xtremegamer. This whole setup maybe cost $100 (I'm a smart shopper) and if you are short on cash, any modern motherboard can output surround sound

8. I prefer sitting in a good desk chair with my PC to my left, wii and Xbox 360 to my right, and a simple switch to go between the 3 on my kickass monitor right in front

As a side note, I do play consoles occassionally, but really only when I can't get a pc version of a games or the pc version sucks, which in 90% of cases, the game sucks anyway so I don't want it. I earnestly hope that GFWL really kicks off more so that we can have cross-platform gaming and we can both have it our way, but until then, it's PC for FPS, RPG, RTS, Racing, and 360 for sports, with wii for collecting dust and whatever Zelda games come out.

I can understand the TC's point of view... but I don't agree necessarily.... some FPS I prefer on 360, some on PC. CoD I prefer on 360, Bioshock 2, Left4 Dead 2& Borderlands I prefer on PC.

What if you're a "hardcore" gamer that prefers the options and graphics of a PC, that has bad carpel tunnel? Shouldn't use a controller?

What if you don't play online and prefer the perceived comfort of a controller? What if I have my PC hooked into the 52 inch HDTV, and don't always feel like using a lap board?

What if , OMG you have a preference?

I like using a 360 controller on my PC for any action game that will let me. The keyboard + mouse isn't as fun for me. I don't understand why people make such a big deal about it. I like the mouse for RTS and watching porn.

Not saying anything about playing PC games. I was simply saying that not everyone wants to mess with hooking up and configuring a controller for the PC. AND believe me, I know about carpel tunnel.

ON another note though...I see "and have done it myself" people hook their pcs into a tv. I see PCfanboys always talking about how their graphics are 10 years ahead of consoles "laughable"...WHY do they say "hook up to your tv" when your tv is at best 1080p? Arent pc games way beyond 1080p? I ask this not in sarcasm or hate, but as a serious question.

Nah, im good. I dont really care about these same arguments, I just get caught up sometimes..lol.I take this forum and others with a grain of salt. I dont let it ruin my day or let others influence my decissions..:) IM all good bro..

Well, the first FPSs were only played with the cursor keys and no mouse (Wolfenstein3D, Doom, Heretic, Hexen, etc...) :P

Anyway, while i agree PC is still the best place for FPSs and, right now im more used to play them with a controller.

Well, it was probably possible but not usual for sure. The first shooters that i remember using mouse were Quake2, Heretic2 and Hexen2 i think.
