XBOX 360 - PS3

which system is better? In my opinion the PS3 is better.

I have a 360, I do not have a PS3 although a few of my friends do.

I have alot of 360 games and they are great, but I feel like alot of the 360 games are more of the same, without alot of variety in them. This is not about which system is cheaper, this is not about which system has more built in features. I play wirelessly on Live with my 360, I dont care that I got the wireless network adapter. This is about which videogame system will give me the oppertunity to play more and better games. Right now the 360 has more games, but I think that the PS3 has better games.

The 360 is looking foward to Bioshock, Halo 3, Mass Effect, as some of their new games

The ps3 is looking foward to heavenly sword, mgs4, lair, drakes uncharted as some of their new games

In my opinion I get the sense that the PS3 is developing a wider variety of games to play, with more various things to do.

I am not calling mass effect, bioshock, halo 3 all shooters, but seriously speaking...you are a guy, holding a gun, and you shoot things, in all 3 of them.

I am looking at my 27 xbox 360 games and all of these games i hav, I am some guy....with a gun, shooting things, I am getting sick of shooting thing. I want to use a sword! and make crazy combos in 3rd person! Below here is a list of a few of the games that i own that place me as a protagonist who holds a gun and shoots things...most likely in 1st person view

I feel that nomatter how good bioshock is, (AND IT WILL BE GOOD), to some degree, i have played it before, because im still going to go around shooting things- with different bells and whistles

I am just flat out TIRED of holding my targeting reticule over something, and pressing right trigger

for non shooters that´s a pretty meh list, us cows admit the 360 has the shooter category down, but the ps3 has way more variety with better games everywhere else, at least for me it´s seems very clear that way.

i have kameo, and about 10 xba games..... im not interested in playing the others... the demos were abysmal. you only support my argument that 360 has more games... but there not necessarilly better.....who the hell wants to play meet the robinsons?

All of them are great, but im not really looking to many of the 360 games coming out except for Mass Effect, Bioshock, and Banjo 3.

im more interested in the PS3's future titles.

Well, if you want non shooting action games, wait for ninja gaiden2, dmc4, too human.

The only good ps3 exclusive action game atm is heavenly sword, which may or may not be good

first you mention 3 games with a guy holding a gun for 360 and then you mention 4 games that is not with a guy holding a gun for ps3.. oh snap wait!!! mgs4 and uncharted have guys holding guns. so 2 games now.

then you mention games out now, with most of them holding a gun but don't say games that are not holding a gun, you don't even mention the games that are coming out that doesn't hold guns.. like.

Banjo Trei, Blue dragon, Lost odessey, Eternal Sonata.. none of them hold guns.

it looks like you feel left out because some of your friend have a ps3 and this is why you think 360 is bad when it's not the case. but i would say play whatever you think it's fun not what your friend think is fun.

btw i forgot to mention Ace combat 6 and tenchu that doesn't hold guns and you have choise to play with girl or boy with a sword.

I dunno about you but my library includes Gears of War, Dead or Alive 4, Project Gotham Racing 3, Forza 2, Splinter Cell Double Agent, Saints Row, Crackdown, Dead Rising, Oblivion, Enchanted Arms, Ninety Nine Nights, Ghost Recon and GR2 and Condemned.

I have many others but they dont spring to mind, and not including all my old xbox games. Maybe you need to stop being so close minded and see what games are actually out there. Blue Dragon and Mass Effect are both coming and both look incredible.

I love when people say that the X360 is lacking variety... if you really think that then you are terribly mistaken. As you should be able to realize this TC, because it appears you own just about every 360 game to date. I do not know how you can look up and down your library and not think there is any variety there, but hey that is what makes you, you and me, me. If you really do not like the consoles current library or their future installments coming soon (that is going to be RPG heavy, not shooter heavy), then I think everyone knows what you should do. Either purchase a PS3 or sell your 360 and then purchase a PS3. If one console appeals to your video game tastes more than another, that should be the console you own regardless of manufacturer. BTW back to the whole non-variety aspect of the X360, ever notice that it has two quality RTS games available but the PS3 doesn't? So if the two consoles have all the same multiplat games and two of the biggest games for both consoles are Shooters (RFOM and GeOW) and racing games (Motorstorm and Forza), who has the wider range variety then?moohan

while those games seem to have a lot of variety, they are all pretty average and you canfind alternatives of all of them on the 360(motorstorm=dirt,gundam=armored core, f1=forza2 maybe)

Now...hold on let me walk over to the ps3 wall... ok its a small wall, theres rfom which is my shooter...oh but look theres formula 1, motorstorm, genji, gundam, and a bunch of other games that have nothing to do with putting my targeting redicule over an enemy and holding right trigger

The Xbox 360 wall has a ton of other games as well. It's not complerely dominated by shooters. It's no different than looking at the PS2 wall and seeing a ton of RPGs (yes, I can play that game too). The Xbox 360 may have a number of shooters to its credit, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have the other genres down as I've already shown.

Among the Xbox 360 launch titles, there were a few shooters, but it was not dominated by them. There were PDZ, Quake 4 Call of Duty 2 and GUN. 4 shooters out of 18 launch titles. That's less than a quarter of all the games. There's your variety. Sitting right there next to those shooters is Kameo, Project Gotham Racing 3, Amped 3, Ridge Racer 6, andTony hawk's American Wasteland to name a few.

Even6 months from its release, only 2 shooters (may have been more, not sure) were added to the list, Battlefield 2, Modern Combat and GRAW but in the same vein, Fight Night Round 3, Oblivion and Final Fantasy XI were added, further difersifying the list.

Sorry bro, but the Xbox 360 is far from being dominated by shooters and has plenty of variety.

you do know that it won't get much better, if at all, if you get a ps3? By the looks of it, the problem you're having with games is your fault. There's plenty of different games out there like Forza 2 yet you choose games like Quake 4 and Bullet Witch. And i see more threads of ps3 owners saying the opposite of what you're saying.
