360 is still making mighty fine profits and is doing well from a sales perspective. Seems like MS's gaming division is doing fine to me.

Pretty sure he's talking about the quality of the games, not sales because sales doesn't equal quality. 360 games have only gone downhill since Gears 2. Gears 2 and Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts were the last good exclusive games for the 360 IMO. Every other platform has a steady/strong lineup of games while 360 so far has nothing but Gears 3 and Kinect.

Where the hell are you getting this info from? The 360 actually beat the ps3 this year in sales by far,infact its even caught up with Wii, this year the 360 have had mass effect 2 a possible goty, fable 3 a big name RPG, Alan wake a very succesful game, halo reach one of the biggest video game franhchises! The kinect! The new Xbox slim! And to top it off the 360 sold 3 mil more copies of black ops! Seriously man get your facts right!herecy_beyond

Where are you getting your info from? The 360 is still far behind in sales with the Wii? Isnt it around 43 million to the 70 million+ the Wii has?

Mass Effect 2 was PC also. You can't use that here.

Fable 3 isn't a staple in the RPG community as far as I'm aware. It's behind things like Risen, Gothic 4 (Massive letdown from a reviewer standpoint. I will form my own opinion after christmas,) Cataclysm, and more. It's still a plus but not a very big one.

Alan Wake wasn't considered a successful game in sales terms. It seems to only have died from its transititon from PC to 360.

Halo Reach is a plus. Not for me personally, but a plus nonetheless.

Kinect? All I have to say is what everyone else has to say, LOL!

It took Microsoft 5 years to finally make a reliable console that still red rings? Definitely improvement but not good enough.

Black Ops sold more on the console that has almost nothing but FPSes. Go figure. And it was marketed with it.

I own Reach. So yes I can say that game met my expectations, which were very low to begin with. Boring campaign and local co-op isn't very fun either. 6.0 at the most. I will judge ME2 when I get it on the better platform, PC. Fable 3 has nothing that stands out for RPGs for me so I don't even want to play it. I do want to play Alan Wake since I heard its like SH:SM.

I don't see how it's a terrible assumption. If you aren't playing Halo or CoD on the 360, you're probably playing AC. When you get bored of that, you go back to the FPSes. No one plays Banjo-Kazooie, Alan Wake, or Gears anymore. (And I mean constantly.)

Of course none of this is is hard facts, just what I've observed from my sessions of playing 360 and reading message boards.

Really? Didn't know that. I was never fond of Gears besides SP anyway. I always heard Gears 2's community died horrible a few months after release.

This list is about player activity, not multiplayer activity, I believe. But yes, Gears online has a pretty big community. Not as big as Halo or CoD, but a lot of people are still playing it.

Alan Wake does not have the best visuals. Its sub HD and therefor by your logic, it's disquaified. UC2 looks better.

Then thats your preference for buying them on the 360 instead of the PS3/Wii/PC.

Kinect can be however many times advanced as MS wants. Fact is that its still very lacking in precision and overall controls as well as games. PC has the best graphics, best multiplatforms, best onlines, best BC (360 has the worst you terrible, terrible troll. Not even 360 fanboys can back that one up,) and the PC/Wii/PS3 all have better motion controls. Buttons simply win many, many times over.

Ever since MGS4 came out the 360 has been losing to the PS3 year after year, the PS3 consistently beats the 360 in the games lineup and in sales of these games every year as well as unit sales. The graphics on the 360 have stagnated when gears 2 hit but for the PS3 graphics have only been getting better and better.

The PS3 constantly gets new IPs being developed for it while the 360 only relies on Gears and Halo rehashes to keep the system alive. If it weren't for XBL monthly fee, i'm not even sure how the 360 would survive. While on the PS3 side, PSN is free.

Proof? See the 2011 lineup and the 360 pales in comparison to the PS3 yet again.:lol:

One must wonder how much money Microsoft's gaming division is bleeding out every quarter or how much money MS is pumping from their Windows division to keep their gaming division floating.

hardly, ps3 has been lacking those exclusives you talk of and gt5 was just another hype feast. The multiplat racer called dirt 2 looks way better and has vastly superior physics and damage and is year old. gt5 is nothing but quantity over quality and the other big games this year have been muliplat. imprezawrx500

neither three console aren't dying and goodness 2011 looks good for all gamers who own 360,ps3,wii,pc,ds,psp

- most next gen motion controls

- most games in 2010

- best selling games in all years, 2010 included

- is the best selling this year and that before Kinect was out

etc etc

If one console is not dying, this is definatly xbox 360
