The Xbox One Fall/Winter Assault has started early.

We all know that the Xbox One already has a very strong Fall and holiday season ahead of it, however that just got kicked up another notch with an EA NFL bundle which includes the 1 Terabyte console, a downloadable copy of Madden NFL 16 which can be played a week early and a year of EA Access for free, this launches on August 18th.

This bundle precludes the Forza 6 Limited Edition console bundle which will be coming out less than a month later in September and and also the Halo 5 Limited Edition console/bundle which will be launching a month after that in October.

I don't see how Sony can remain competitive against line ups and deals like this for the next 5-6 months, you've really got to give a hand to Microsoft, they're continuing to deliver the best value and offerings that console gaming has to give.

That's an Xbox strategy, to target the end of the year and this year is no different.

Sure, that is good for Wallstreet but not great for gamers having to wait until the end of the year for big retail games from M$.

Holiday 2015 Xbox lineup isn't that appealing to me, besides RotTR which I'm going to wait for the PC version of. More interested in Xbox's 2016 offerings.

They can upgrade the hardrive but they can't upgrade that weak sauce ram and gpu.

Not a fan of Forza or Halo, but good for anyone who is.

Spread across three releases on five different platforms, that's pretty niche.

Everything that holds any interest to me is multiplay and on PS4. I won't buy Tomb Raider on anything because the reboot was a massive letdown with how it turned into a Gears of War rip off less than halfway through. Will wait to see if this is any better, because the first bit of Tomb Raider was bloody brilliant. It really hurt to see it fall apart so badly so early on.

Pretty sick deal for sports fans, and the 1TB goes well with the free EA access subscription, because you basically get all the vault games free for 1 year..... so like day 1 from opening this box you will have over a dozen games to chose from. Not for me as I'm not too big on sports games and I already have EA access, but I want the Forza bundle, I'm just waiting to see what they are cooking up with the upcoming Halo 5 one.

Maybe my perspective is skewed by my own experiences, but wasn't the main appeal behind Halo that is was the hot (relatively) new FPS that everyone was talking about? I really question Halo's ability to sell consoles in 2015 when the market has already decided that the PS4 was the in thing.

How will the third Forza on Xbone change people's minds about buying the system?

Ignoring that it's already coming to 360, do people think that Tomb Raider won't go to PS4 and PC? Do they even care?

It's a start, but they need to do more than have a couple of comparatively decent months to dig themselves out of the hole they got themselves into.

I don't get the attraction. Personally it is a weak roster with halo looking really stale at e3.

Objectively speaking Football isn't going to sell any consoles to people who weren't already interested in buying x1. Forza has never been a big attraction to the xbox brand as far as moving systems.

So the only game in the entire line-up that is a power chip is Halo 5. Tomb Raider is a well known brand and it could have a small impact but fans of the series are probably informed enough to know that it's not exclusive to the xbox 1 permanently and that might affect it's impact. PS4 has no power sellers this holiday season but with marketing deals and names like StarWars pushing the PS4 logo, it could offset it's lack of big exclusives.

If you're a sports fan this is a great offer, plus right out of the box you have access to 13 games included in just the cost of the system, that's not interesting if you don't like video games.

Forza Limited console is cool though, that may be when I finally pull trigger on Xbox One.

Its a nice bundle. I am no longer a madden player. Just don't get into it anymore. NHL I hope is better than last years trash.

I think I saw in UK them bundling 1 year of EA Access with the consoles, they should consider doing that in North America for an instant collection with EA Access and a good jumping off point for new console owners.

For me, as much as I like the Xbox brand, the idea of bundling Forza doesn't really appeal to me, nor Madden (haven't played a Madden game since the Genesis days).

They should do a Halo 5 & Rise of the Tomb Raider bundle for $330, that'd be cool.

Its timed exclusive i hope, or does PS4 people play a week early also? I saw Xbox One got the Fifa exclusive content, but havnt heard of nothing else, the free year of EA access is weird yet cool at the same time. If you have Xbox Gold dont you get EA for free already?

Digital seems to be the only way MS can bundle games. Not sure if its their way of keeping the cost low, or just pushing their all digital future.

Still doesn't make me want to get an Xbox. Last gen I got one for Halo. This time, there's very little incentive to getting an Xbox. I mean Madden? PS4. Forza? Racing games are boring to me now.

I dont think just that will help, i think their PR and whole lineup will help them win back America. They have a very dedicated fan base, and its scary they have done this good after all theyve been through. They are not far from taking America back, they can easily achieve it.

Not all, i know of many who still rock the 360. Plus there is still a lot of gamers still on the fence. And guess what year is a big year for consoles, year 3, they say year 3 is key. So they got plenty of time.

That is not a very appealing bundle. They had a Madden bundle last year and still lost that month.

Fans say, the new consoles usually work out their bugs and defects by then and usually have the games and prices to push people. Xbox One can easily double its numbers by then.

LOL. Wishful thinking? I don't know who these fans are though. Nonetheless if a company makes a console and it does well for them does it have to be the number one product in the industry? I don't think we'll really ever see MS as the VG leader....which shouldn't matter if they make you happy with games.

Yeah, i agree, i just want them to take back America, would be awesome for an American company to lead America. Nintendo leads Japan and i would like Xbox to lead America, PC can continue to lead the world since its hard to compete with them. Its all just wishful thinking, but i think it can easily be done, theyre not too far off.

That is competition, you think its easy taking the lead and keeping it? Heck no, Nintendo worked their butts off to take Japan. Microsft will work hard to take the lead also and compete. Nintendo will be releasing a new console that i think will compete also, and we might see Samsung enter the race, they are hungry for a gaming console they say and they have big money.
