There is no way halo 3 will score low on GS even if it stinks

1. The hype is WAYYY to huge.

2. Fanboys will go crazy and GS doesn't want 50,000 death threaths.

3. There is way too much money involved in advertising, Halo is posted everywhere all over GS countdown, mountin dew ad etc.

so even if the game itself is mediocre GS will still score it high.

GS couldn't care less if they get bashed for their reviews. They got bashed for their TP score, their MGS3 score, their MP3 score, so on and so forth.

The only score they changed as a result of user dissatisfaction was Shenmue, seven years ago. But nothing like that has happened ever since Greg took over--he made sure of it. And I don't think things have changed since he left.

GS loves their FPSs so I doubt it'll score low.......but it will have nothing to do with hype....

I'm pretty sure they change their MGS1 score also.

I doubt it... it will score high. From the movies I've seen. Bungie has put a lot of effort into features that are not considered "standard" for FPS... like 4 player co-op in the single player campaign, Saved Movies to Share, and the Forge level editor will you can edit in the multiplayer game. Did you watch the latest Bungie viddoc? This will make it score higher even if the single player campaign is disappointing. I will be surprised if it scores less than 9.0. I think you will see Bioshock level of praise this week once the reviews come out. But that's just IMHO.

Clearly you weren't around here last year. The hype for Twilight Princess was huge! AAA-AAAA, GOTY "Better then OoT" hype. And guess what? TP flopped and the bashing, flaming, porn suicides and death threats rolled in for months and GS held firm to the score.

GS will give the game what it deserves and not fall into the hype and the whims of fanboys.
