It will be very difficult, and the PS3 could very well spend most of its lifespan catching up to the 360 or even the Wii.

The price just doesn't make it as much of an impulse purchase.  I still want one but I am fully prepared to see the PS3 be Sony's lowest selling console.

The PS3 will only get a 1 year handicap to catch the 360 in sales to be the legit winner.

So if the MS launch a new system in say 4 years from now then Sony would only get a little over a year after that to really count on sales numbers. You can't say oh Sony won why they kept selling there system 5 more years after the 360 had moved on.

So Sony legitly only should get a year or so handicap for that first year lead MS had.

Also NO NO NO Wii will not catch MS this year.
