Yeah... because moving a 62" plasma television around with you is surely the epitome of "portability."

Please. PC towers are easily portable. You have to be REALLY lazy to not want to lug one around, but then have nothing against moving a 360 around.

[QUOTE="BrunoBRS"]nintendo games. that's what PCs can't do. and it's more than enough reason to get a wii.BrunoBRS

actually...

legally and without mods. i knew someone would end up pointing it.

TOS prohibition of discussion =/= illegal.

Though I think think it's pretty involved getting it working legally on a PC. Need a specific type of DVD drive+firmware to dump your own games.

[QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"]There is only one thing imo. And thats upfront price. To get a decent rig your going to have to spend more than $300.NVIDIATI

Well you can build a PC more powerful than a console for around $400 with Windows 7, Intel E3300, Nvidia 9800GT, 2GB DDR2 800, etc.

that is an awful rig

yeah but no.

my old gaming pc was a bit bigger than a ps3, weighed about as much as a pc and was very portable. 2 cords total. hdmi and power cord.

LAN cases are as small if not smaller than the consoles.

so no.

Lol. You forgot the monitor, keyboard, and mouse/controller. And in some cases internet connection. But that's for both cases. This is how you tell what is more portable: Count how many times you have to walk in and out of the house to pack something in a car.

Also, comps and gaming laptops are at least 4x more than consoles, so there is still that aspect. Buying more compact parts still costs more :\

Awful and it still destroys consoles. I guess that makes consoles awful in turn right?

Its not "at least 4x more." Also why would you bring a monitor? The 50inch screen I use with my PC is 88 lbs and 74 lbs without the speakers attatched. :| but hey I'll be sure to bring it if I ever go to a lan party
