There's not 1 decent argument against the X360!

how could there not be?  i have had mine break three times.  three disk drives!!! in one system that is really sad.  and there are no good rpgs or platformers.  only shooters.  i like shooters and all but i am glad i own both a wii and ps3 so i have a wider selection of games.  i mean the wii has no good shooters and the ps3 only has a shooter to play haha.

all the systems have good arguments against them.  you have to not be a fan boy of anything to see that.

Overpriced proprietary add-ons. XBL fees. Nickel and diming for any content from marketplace. Limited genres. Outrageously big and ugly power brick. High failure rate. Loud and hot. Disc drive kills your disc if tilted. Controller lacks anything new about it.

Plenty of flaws. By the end of this year it won't even have a distinct game advantage and with all the hardware failings, PS3 is the better choice.

• It is expensive and in need of a price drop.
• Variety of games is lacking at the moment detracting from the adoption value (mind you, over time it will get much better).
  
• Online service could do with some upgrading and perks for Gold subscribers.
• Many of the games (that are appealing to me directly) will be available on PC either alongside the 360 versions or down the road.

Yeah it overheats like a friggin toy oven,it scratched my Dead rising disc and just when i was about to complete 3 archivements.The online lag sucks,they replaced my until with another defective unit.

And the headset is abused by idiots all the time,hell gears is even worst than sw,is like being inside 1up forums.

I like my 360 but I'd say feeling the need to worry every time I turn it on that its going to give me the ring of death is a pretty major argument against.Corvin

The Xbox360 is too loud, how can you watch movies when it sounds like a jet liner is feet away. PlayStation3 on the other hand is virtually silent and sleek.Click_Clock

You, sir, have NOT w atched a movie on the 360. When you play a movie see, the noise goes off because it turns off most of the fans and **** inside, making it VERY silent. Please, shh.

Ok: 360 has problems, supposedly, with scratching discs. I am yet to have this problem, but I guess it happens to some people. There, I am not bias, I made an arguement against XBOX....happy?

As for the PS3, I'll dust that off when they're are games to actually be played on it. *goes back to playing 360*

The fact that if their was a huge malfunction that people would be jumping on this "omg free money" band wagon a.s.a.p.  You think lawyers would give up this oppurtunity? No.  Fact is their is not near enough evidence to state it is more then 2%.

Dude, you are talking about trying to sue Microsoft here.  They made $14 billion last year alone.  They can afford them some pretty nice lawyers with that money.  They've also had to extend 360 warranties and replace units for free to try and save face over the hardware failures.  Would such things be necessary if failure rates were so low?

thats 14 out of 26 games I have, not including the 25 games I have from live arcade. thats a pretty good selection of different games, the rest I have are the Halo's and Gears of Wars, and other sports games.

I agree that their aren't any platformers, so their isn't much I can say about that. now that list of 14 games might not be good for a lot of people, but it sure as hell has kept me busy since launch, these games can and will keep me busy until some platformers come out, no way will I spend another 600 or 250 bucks just to play one or two different game types when all I have to do is enjoy what I have now and be patient.

First of all, your post is built on assumptions.  Second of all, this does not strenghten the case for the PS3 or weaken the case for the 360.  Finally, some of the games you mention will take months, if not years, to migrate to the PC platform.

Here's a decent argument against the Xbox 360:

You've got to spend $480 to get a unit that doesn't have last-generation build quality.  That's why my circa-2006 "Buy Xbox in '07" plan has been officially renamed the "Buy Xbox in '08" plan.

I don't have an HD-TV. Niether do I want to buy another monitor because I actually use my PC for work, plus my current monitor is too small.

Other systems may have exclusives I want to play that 360 doesnt. Thats opinion.

 Also, the system isn't cheap.$60 a game is steep no matter how you cut it.

PS3 plays movies out of the box and is developing free online that looks promising.

Wii I can have unique controls like swinging a baseball bat or blowing and offers something no other system can.
