If PC dies then I quit gaming. The only reason to even remotely own a console is for fighting games and even that's changing.

COD Modern Warfare 3 @ 1080p high settings on AMD A8-3850 APU Sony PS3 and Xbox 360 is not capable in delivering the same gaming performance.

AMD A8-3850 Llano APU was recently replaced by a faster AMD A10 Trinity APU.

The consoles don't even play games at high settings and low settings in some games is already beating it.

Exactly the biggest gap in terms of features has probaably been this gen, theres a lot more things like on demand television and the likes.All i see is consoles becoming more an entertainment hub than just a device purely for playing games, basically something to sit beside the tv like the set top box (sony's already moved into that area with play tv).

Its just the way it is, a console will be more a multimedia device rather than one for purely gaming.Which suits me tbh as long as im still getting decent games.Since i got netflix i cancelled my Sky Movies subscription because it was a better service and it was cheaper.

they are just essentially going to evolve into other products and morph much like the mobile phone has morphed into a device which does much mroe than a simple phone call, or the humble iPod has evolved over iterations.The consoles will morph and adapt.
