Considering the non-gamers and casuals are the main demographic of Nintendo, I find that statement to more or less, true to a certain extent.Stevo_the_gamerYou always seem to turn up for the anti or pro Wii threads.
[QUOTE="yoshi_64"]I mean I feel games are just too easy personally... Stevo_the_gamerHaven't given Clear Sky a shot, now eh? Not with the little funds I have at the moment. In fact my latest purchase was just Crysis a few months ago, I know I'm behind, but it's not difficult either. The AI is rather weak in an open ended environment actually.
Anyways, if it's challenging I may give it a shot, I've not played the previous STALKER title too, but because then my PC was crap and couldn't run it.
There are few games that may be challenging, but even then some have gotten soft too (NG 2 is hardly as challenging as NG :( )

Ah -- completely understandable, lad. Well, once you get a better computer -- give Stalker and Stalker Clear Sky a shot, they're brilliant games. :)
Wii probably appeals to kids the most -- but it doesn't mean that its exclusively for kids only.
As for gameplay being easy, most games this generation are easy -- The hardest games I've played this year are Mega Man 9, Guitar Hero 3 and God of War 2 (which was a last gen game) -- meh.
Yes, Nintendo is for kids.
All their games are easy.
AlexSays
Fire Emblem: Radient dawn is one of the hardest games out his gen. Don't forget about Advance Wars: DoR. SMG is harder than most other 3D platformers. MP3 can be pretty hard.

Also don't forget that Sin & Punishment 2 is coming in 2009. That will probably frustrate people just like other Treasure games. Also if Nintendo makes a new F-Zero and a new Star Fox those will probably be Similar in difficulty since F-Zero GX is tough.Edit* I should've known Alexsays was being Sarcastic because he likes Nintendo and I see him in the Wii Boards.

they made the game incrediblily accessible to button mashers by giving the y button it's own default combo. Not to mention that you don't even have to kill most enemies to get rid of them due to the obliteration techniques. Talk about auto-kill.I like how most people who come to defend the Wii straight out say "most games this gen are easy" instead of facing the main question of "Statistically, and factually, would you say this is true that the Wii is mainly for children and the gameplay is easier than PS3/360?"
No one asked for your general opinion. You can add it, but until you answer, don't beat around the bush.

What factual evidence does anyone have that the Wii is for kids?
Oh, there's none?
Yeah, carry on.

Path of the Acolyte is easier, but the harder difficulties are MUCH harder.
If you do a repeditive combo they'll do a reversal on your ***.
No way. The NES, for example, has some of the hardest games you'll ever play.

but were not talking about the nes

Then ****ing answer "no."
You can't 'prove' one console does things better or worse than the other. But you sure can give out some good reasons for either direction.
As for my opinion, yeah, most I see from the Wii are crappy 3rd party games that would entertain no one over 5, so.
