Gamers have creatied their own culture, one that many found foreign online until everyone on the Internet started becoming connected and getting in on the same type of humor they prided themselves on. Now certain phrases that were cornerstones of their liungo back in the day, like "pwn" and "fail," are ridiculed when used. They feel their identity is threatened and that's why they hate such social media websites like FaceBook, as they further circulate this content to the masses so they can intrude on what was once a unique characteristic of their online communities.

They hate religion and what it stands for, yet they're shitty enough on their own and create similar cult-like followings (I'm an atheist, so you don't need to explain it to me, but being an obnoxious snob about it helps no one). Grouping themselves with different factions of systems or what-have-you, they want to be further divided so they can feel like they're part of something more exclusive. After being shut out from the outside for so long, it's hard for them to remember at times that they belong to something no one else does.
