Thinking on trading PS3 for a 360...

Never thought i would say this but, the 360 is really flexing its arms with games rite now. Mass Effect 2, very underrated on gamespot imo. also saw a few gameplays of halo reach and wow. halo reach is really getting my interest rite now. i never liked the theme of halo and its colorful childish looks, but reach looks to be more serious and gritty then ever before. also a hint that showed that reach will now have a run botton which is needed for fps imo. the graphics looks real good too.

i really dont know what to do rite now. i need games that will last me a long time, and i just dont feel that sony is delivering rite now. games like heavy rain, GOW3, uncharted 2 sure is quality games but not a very long lasting games.

i think im going to wait till E3. games that will convince me to keep my ps3 are

1. SOCOM 4
2. killzone 3
3. some ground breakin new ip

if i dont see anyone of those then i WILL trade for a 360.

1 game to seal the cake is gears of war 3.

a few questions tho...

is the RROD issue kinda fixed? also how is the costumer service for M$? how much $$$ year is for online?

oh and, whats happening with the banning of moded 360's rite now? is it still happening? will it stop soon? not that i was thinkin of moddin tho8) lol

If you can afford to, why dont you buy the 360 and keep the PS3 as well. Both systems have good exclusives and you are bound to miss something by trading in your PS3. I have both and although the 360 is my favoured, the PS3 would be missed if it went. If you live in the UK, currys and argos are selling Arcade models for £99 and currys have Elite models for £129.99.

i love my 360 but i would never sell my ps3 for it for the following reasons:

god of war 3

heavy rain

infamous 2

last guardian

final fantasy 13 versus

resistance 3

the agent

blu ray player

so just be happy with what you have, many people would even do anything just to get a ps3

so ur very fortunate.. just save money for 360.. if you can save at least 2 bux a day, you'll get 360 in a couple of months.

UC2 has multiplayer and even the SP has a lot of replayability.The score for ME2 is perfect,and its not underated,it had a boatload of threads about it.I am pretty sure everyone on SW liked it.

From my own personal experience, trading a system for another isn't such a good idea. Just enjoy what you have.

hmm, so you're not that excited for GOW, Heavy rain and some other "not long lasting" PS3 games... Skip on those three games and you've saved yourself a little over $180...make up the difference and buy a 360. there...situation solved. :Pverbalfilth

I'll probably do the same after I get my fill of God of War 3. There's no more exclusives worthwhile left on ps3 after it imo. 360 has Halo Reach, Mass Effect 2, possibly GeOW3(must have), better multiplats. The only thing that I don't like is paying for xbl, but I guess it's worth it when the community is a lot more chatty than psn. Not only that, but all my friends have 360's

get a good PC 360 exclusives are available on it and is alot more powerfull depending on video cards and stuff but really expensive

Well good luck with your 360,I wouldnt trade it if I were you,man I would kill myself without the last guardian or GoW3,heck maybe even UC3.Anyway enjoy your ME2 when you get it.

Honestly you should just save up and have both. You won't get much for your PS3 and you have probably invested a lot of money into it. $300 for a 360 Elite is not much money at all. You may as well own both and get the best of both worlds

If you are interested then BUY a 360. But never trade in a game system. That's a horrible deal, you don't get half of what you paid for. Besides, the ps3 has enough games coming out to warrant keeping it.

I wasn't aware the biggest 360 exclusives like Halo, Gears, Forza, Crackdown, Fable 3 and Alan Wake were on the PC.

If you can keep it than keep it but if not and i was in your shoes id rather a 360 right now over a ps3. I mean ME2 is by far the best game this year and might be GOTY and halo reach is already generating buzz for GOTY and its months away from release. You also have alwan wake and metro 2033 both games showing the graphical beast that is the 360. If your hand is forced do what you gotta dobigboss5ak

would be a good choice imo, can't find much to love about my playstation other than GOW, Demon's souls,team ICO games and inglorious basterds on blu-ray.

just buy a 200$ 360 and a cheap HDD online for like 30-50$

Game announcements like Gears of War 3 may come at E3, but you wont see that game until Fall 2011. As far as your other questions, Yes, the 360 is still prone to RRoD. It is a design flaw in the console. It wont be done away with until or unless MS does a complete redesign on the 360. XBOX Live is $50 a year and as an owner of both consoles, I can tell you that as far as online play goes, Sony's FREE PSN performs just as well as XBOX Live!! Modded XBOX 's are still being banned as they should be! Cheaters never win in the end!

The bottom line is that both consoles will have awesome exclusives, but I would never give up one to get the other! IN the end, you'll just be caught in a viscious cycle!

If u want games from both consoles then why get rid of 1 when you can have both.

You should keep your PS3 because Heavy Rain, and GoW3 are coming out soon. Plus GT5, Killzone 3, and Resistance 3 "should" come out this year. Thats more then enough reasons right there.

If you give up your PS3, you'll probably end up regreting it. The PS3 has a long life span ahead of it and interesting new IPs are always in development...
