I know it's not just the consumer as well. I don't want to get into a PS3 and Xbox 360 flame war. But with the economy not doing so well, and the development cost of these games being much higher, it's no wonder you see some of thes exclusive games going multi-platform. The announcement of FFXIII going to the 360 was much of a suprise, but at the sametime it feels so predictable when you look back at Square Enix. There last fiscal year kind of hit them hard, and Wada then said he didn't want anyone focusing on new franchises. Rather the developments keeping ideas open for Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, KH, etc. Also, if you were a big follower of the SE games released in the past few years, when reading a interview about......Crisis Core for example. The interview always contained a question about how Final Fantasy XIII was going. There was 3 responses:
1. It's doing fairly well, and we're working on it very hard.
2. It's still exclusive to the PS3.
3. We can do wonders with the hardware we have, but it takes a bit more to produce something.
The weird thing is that it's all 3 answers in the same interview. :P
