This gen Nintendo , and Sony has won GOTY. Do you think 2019 is the year for MS?

I come from the future, and next year a 3rd-party mobile game will win GOTY.

The last of us 2 comes out next year. Everybody else will be fighting for a place among the honourable mentions for goty.

M$ only has Crap poo poo down 3. No way. Nintendo's 2019 looks insane, Sony if they launch their last big hitters its pretty much a win. 2019 is between Nintendo and Sony.

Don't see Sony dropping their heavy hitters this year and I see nothing goty worthy coming out for Xbox. A multiplat or switch title most likely takes it.

Yes and every year microsoft have goty. They have forza, some racing magazine give the goty award to the game. Very though competition this year with F1 2018, V-rally, Dakar 18 and arcade racers competing for the GOTY.

Next year forza will have even more competition with F1 2019, V rally, dakar 19(probably) and arcade racers competing for the GOTY.

I think the new Ori game could end up being a GotY contender and perhaps even Gears of War 5 but while I’ll most likely love the game I’m not really sure if it’ll be most places GotY. Halo Infinite probably could be a contender but I don’t think that we’ll be seeing it next year. It sounds like Turn 10 isn’t planning on releasing a Forza 8 next year either. They’re probably going to bring it out in 2020 to launch alongside the next Xbox system. Anyway though while it’s nice to see a game that I enjoyed get accolades it’s not something that affects my enjoyment of said game one way or the other.

I have never launched a game with GOTY on my mind and never cared what the opinions of others are when I am playing a game. If I like it, I continue to play (unless its for a paper) otherwise I simple stop regardless of popular opinion.

The Pokemon rpg game is coming out next year but it's a exclusive.

Lol, keep dreaming lemming. It will be Nintendo and Sony. This year only lemmings on Gamespot are saying Forza 4 is goty, because that's the only game you've played. Everyone else with pc's, switches and ps4 are enjoying the true goty's.

I just don't see it happening. For a while now it just feels like MS has given up on this gen. I mean, they put out the Xb1X, but almost everything you can play on it is a multi-plat with a better version on PC. Their only chance at GOTY is, what, Halo? Forza? There's no way in hell either of those franchises are going to put out a GOTY. No way.

Halo and Gears are long past their prime. The hype and talent is no longer there. No innovation. Bad stories. Everyone has flocked elsewhere to get the multiplayer fix.

Since MS has not announced anything with potential(not even a teaser trailer), we are still 3-4 years away from seeing any game that might have a chance at GOTY.

All we know is Microsoft is hyping the first ever AAAA game(LMAO) which is years away.

Actually Gears 4 and Halo5 have a very solid online setup and are always active. 2 very solid games

Those two games can be played online for unlimited hours, Many xbox gamers are playing Halo5 and Gears4 online right now, while you cows just stay butthurt and jelly.

I never have to wait long for a Gears4 match online. Always have a great time playing team deathmatch.

but Halo infinite is now becoming best Halo game..

I’m interested to see how Halo Infinite turns out. If it really pushes the genre and series ahead then it definitely has a shot. I doubt it comes out next year though.
