Halo Series must be doing something right if it has such a huge following. I spent most of the time pistol whipping my buddy on the co-op side of Halo, but other than that I never got into it.

It's odd because I enjoy fps even if they have a generic feel to them, I played Gore for awhile on the PC.

There have been so many freaking threads about how halo isnt special its driving me crazy

Well guess what, alot of people love it, and play it all the time, its one of the easiest shooters to just pick up and play and have fun, unlike some of those insanely frustrating pc shooters because everyone is so good its hard to get 1 kill in. Its fun, brightly colored has its own unique feel and style, not many console shooters have the same floaty unrealistic gameplay that it has thats so much fun, so im really sick of hearing about people saying halo is nothing special, if it really wasnt, NO ONE WOULD TALK ABOUT IT THIS MUCH

mmm yes it does.. Golden Eye is ALSO a masterpiece and very revolutionary for consoles, and yes there's a load of good PC shooters but Halo was excellent for his time and for the present time too so I dont see why it doesnt deserve AAA status, It had a great story, gameplay, visuals, etc.. The fact of the matter is that only 'cause is xbox and microsoft to the bone people bash it so hard..The game itself is pretty good and many lesser games had obtained AAA status in the past so is no big deal..

the thing is, you cant compare that pos halo to titanic because titanic was only made a movie twice, once in black and white-different from 1996 film halo was since then made milked halo 3 was basically halo 2 with new missions, lo l not much else added and even then theres games that are actually better , and have twice the content ,eg goldeneye perfect dark 1 timesplitters .

The more you talk about Halo the more you add to it's popularity.

you can call Halo whatever you want, the point is that it is popular and its popularity revolutionized console FPS's.

I love that so many try to bring Halo down. All it shows it just how big Halo really is. There is so many AAA fps shooters that have come and gone to never be talked much about again. Halo is not like that though. The fanbase grows more and more. HALO is a casual game with casual appeal. It sells like a casual game because it is. Just like wii fit and the GTA series. Its great and accessable for FPS noobs and just fun enuf for hardcore FPS players (most will tell you it not the best FPS eva). If you love HALO cool if you think its overrated cool. what difference does it make.
