@hardwenzen: Your paranoid theory might make sense if it wasn’t for the fact that ms announced revenue for subscriptions had increased….they didn’t mention the amount of subscribers. Revenue would stay the same if new accounts were being made with the same people abusing the system….that isn’t what happened.

Some are making them and forget to cancel? Pretty obvious to me. I once forgot to cancel amazon prime.

@hardwenzen: That’s nothing to do with what you theorised. “ Allowing constant creation of new accounts to abuse the $1 per month and the $1 for 3months promotion is simply inflating the sub numbers. ”

If so many were creating new accounts, the revenue wouldn’t have gone up. In fact, by your theory subs would have gone up and ms would have gladly announced that. They didn’t. They announced revenue is up which means people are not using the $1 new account ploy en Mass.

Yes, yes it would go up. You see MS brag about the inflated numbers, the casuals/normies see this, and sub for the full $10 because, you know, its a popular service, and they must do what others are doing. The inflated numbers is just marketing, and marketing is what's needed to for a new service to become mainstream. Come on little sealion, you know better than that.

@hardwenzen: You’re missing the point again. Ms didn’t brag about numbers. In fact when 30 million was mentioned, Spencer didn’t go with it.

I bought Xbox Live Gold for $60 during May 2021, then I upgraded to Xbox GamePass Ultimate in August for only $1 and it's going all the way til May 2022.
