OK Ill keep this as simple as I can seeing you dont get it even after all of this:

Wii is about 3 times as powerful as GC/Xbox -> Ports on Wii look worse than alot of GC/Xbox games -> If Wii is thrice as powerful then it should be looking alot better than any games out on Wii -> The only explanation for that could be that the games are not given the proper attention.

No.  Wii is two to three times more powerful than the Gamecube, technically speaking.  Remember, the Gamecube had Resident Evil 4 which looks miles ahead of the games the TC posted.

Devs were being lazy, they ported without updating to make a quick buck rather than pleasing us!  THE GAMERS!

Still doesn't matter.  Even if the devs were compelled enough to use 50% of the Wiis power, it should still look like a high end GC game like Resi 4.

And yes, it is 3x stronger than the GC.

Ya the games would have a HUGE difference not "might" have a difference. JUST LOOK AT RE4!!! It looks better than still most games out there. Games like Rogue Squadron 3 come on think about it.

If we have games that utilize enough power to run a game that looks a little better than RE4 than we have a next gen looking console, I use that word "looking" because looking at something does not make it next gen as already proven.

Stop using the "visuals make next gen" arguement. Get focused. RE4 is so much better of agame than Dead Rising its hilarious you even brought it up. Still Wii is next gen it has a motion sensing controller, it is capable of looking better than RE4 and Rogue Squadron 3, it has wirless and lan cable internet, it has a very cool avatar system, it has more games to play with than the graphical power house PS3. So STOP CALLING IT LAST GEN. If a console is not capable of producing 360 graphics it does not mean the games cant look good and certainly play good. My evidence is how many more games there are to play with Wii as opposed to PS3.

They spend massive resources but it isnt very creative ohard to do. PCs have been doing this kind of upgrade because these companies arent really next gen if they cant even make a new control scheme.

Wii took alot of time, effort and resources as well. Its not easy making a console that small, its not easy making a standard control out of motion sensing controls and make it work.

If you look at the big picture Nintendo did just as much work and they did a better and more creative job while they were at it. That is why they are selling more. MS and SOny thought they could just up the graphics and formats and forget about the gaming and now its gonna hurt them.

Guess what Ubisoft is still considering Assisins Creed for Wii, RE5 is coming to Wii if RE UC does well, GTA IV will be GTA III with a makeover. What now? There are other games too. MK8 is also being considered. teh fact that they can be consered shows that they could run the game. I mentioned interesting things like that because visuals are not the sole deciding factor for next gen. Obviously you dont know that? You obviously dont know alot of things though so its okay.

Keep trying but you arent getting anywhere unlike you I have proven and dont even need to prove that Wii is next gen.

 I have thoroughly proven Wii:

1. may not have the games yet but it can do three times more than what GC/Xbox did and that has RE4 so the games could look great.

2. Wii has more games to play than PS3 the best graphical console out there

3. Wii still can play multiplat games and some great ones are being consered like Assasin's Creed, MK8, RE5

4. Wii has bette gameplay elements and its surrounding features make it more next gen than 360 and PS3 in alot of ways.

If you repeat yourself or dogde the issue I am gonna go crazy.

its because they are not aware of how a next gen jump is supposed to go. Most of them grew up with the PS1 era. Sony has never done anything but new formats and graphics. Nintendo has always upgraded every aspect of gaming. Completely undermined by these fools esp that guy I was talking to for like half the thread. And the stupid arguement goes on and on like this where they constantly repeat the same old arguements of not next gen, gimmicky, and a toy. All of these have been reasoned out as false and the sales have proven which one all types of gamers like.

next gen price tag? the thing only costs $250 :?

And Ill buy an X 360 for 300.

50 dollars more and I get actual graphics. (Of course minimal requirements, but still on a different level altogether)

Ya but as many people who like the 360 there are alot of others who dont like it and see Wii as much more valuable and the core system is foolish to get anyway.

Thats not even the point. Wii can play next gen games. MK8 is a next gen game on PS3 and 360 and its coming to Wii.
