This is a new low for SW, well, not necessarily new, since everyone bags on the Nintendo fanboys when their DS or GBAs get upgraded. Supposedly, its milking...or cheating its customers who already bought it.
Would you rather it NOT be upgraded? Simply because you already bought it? If Nintendo didnt upgrade its DS, Sony fanboys will say it is ugly...when upgraded...they make fun of the fans because its milking.
The 360 NEEDS a bigger harddrive, the HDMI is a plus, and so is the black color. You could argue that "they should've added those things in the first place!" Blah blah blah, at least its being changed at all! Whether you like it or not, it'll be a better product overall.
The real funny thing is people are under, to steal a word from Vandal, a "misconception" that the Zepher is replacing the others, it is only being added to the line-up.

I dont care at all about it. I prefer a white one, HDMI cables dont make a big difference, and i havent even used my 20 GB. At the begginning i got down to 10GB- ive never dropped below (game saves dont take any space and i only keep demos that are really fun and replayable for a while)

Read it again, or go back to school. The thread was brought about by recent threads about "MS making a mistak" about the release of an upgraded model... whether ot nbot its confirmed isnt the point. If you didnt notice, I also mentioend people doing the same thing to Nintendo when the Lite was announced.

True, but if a company can swallow their own balls and improve the mistakes that have already been made, than all the complaining worked. Our voice, as consumers, have been heard. How is that ever a bad thing?
To say, "they should have gotten it right the first time" is understandable, but is counter productive when they are rumored to improve those things already...

You are comparing a 120 Gameboy to a $399 console. I figured it would be year 4 before a revised system. Not before year 2. If true MS needs to admit it so people who are about to buy one, know there is another option coming. If I had've known they would do this, I wouldnt have bought one at launch.

It still plays the same games and all that but for people like me certain features do matter for consoles and handheld which is why I didn't buy a 360 right off the bat, I mean my $130 DS Lite has Wifi support but a $300 - $400 360 requires an add-on for it? To me thats BS.

Actually if I remember correctly the slimline PS2 added the online adapter, something that everyone else HAD to buy to play online.
Anyway, I really don't care about this new 360, since the one I have now works fine and still plays all the awesome games. The hard drive has plenty of space...if I really want more room all I have to do is delete a few demos and videos (that I can download again if I really want them). HDMI? I have a 1080p TV, but I could really care less. It looks perfectly fine at 720p.

Anyone who owns an original DS can say the DS Lite was vastly superior in the visual department because of screen brightness. The original DS is basically unplayable once you have a DSlite.

Isnt the 360 "cheating" its 1080 output right now? Just strecthing a 720 image to fit a 1080 resolution? Only because the games themselves were designed for 720p (remember, most PS3 games are the same way). The upcoming VT3 is 1080p native.
