No non-fanboy thinks the falcon/jasper/casper (whatever) chips will solve all problems, but they have a chance of reducing the problems.

just saying....the problem of the heat is in the gpu.

The jasper is the only chipset that shrinks the gpu. The rest only shrinked the cpu. So jasper has a great chance to bring it to sub 5% levels.

ok well if the new chips show that the problem is reduced that low or completely gone then a xbox360 purchase will be around the corner for me :)

reliability is a major factor when deciding to buy a new console and this was a major letdown. i did want to buy one but intil the problem is 100% solved it a no go for me.

All electronics have a possibility of breaking. And very few of them will be fixed for free. You really can't accept the very small chance that you might be without a piece of electronics for 2 weeks while it's being fixed? And fixed for FREE for that matter.

If im not mistaken, 360 has 10 000 movies + tv episodes, more then 2x the library and more games rated 70%-99% on any review site.

How do you get bias out of me telling you the most popular ps3 exclusives? Some lemming said the ps3 library sucked and I posted a long post listing all the ps3 exclusives coming out, and the xbox has only 2 games that aren't multiplat. So where is the bias in that its the truth.

Also you said in a previous post that all you got out of me was that I am a pc gamer, well guess who makes windows...yeah...I just hate xbox, and I may be bias in some of my posts for sure, but this one was all about the ps3 game library, which is way better then 360 for 2008-1st quarter 2009! And its a fact ps3 now has more exclusives a blueray player, upgradable hard-drive, free online, trophies, ingame xmb, a video store that gets 100's of titles every week, and most importantly no rrod!! Yeah it is obvious which console I like better, but your arugument to my list isn't an argument at all...hell I don't know what it was...

I think the PS3 has been "catching up" in the games department ever since it's release.

So you still think ps3 has a bad library? This isn't anywhere near complete and pretty much all we are missing are a few 1st year xbox games and halo, gears and fable2, 3 titles that will be out on pc anyway....you lemmings need to stop defending a product that is destined to die, from a premature death...face it xbox sucks and always will!

People can choose to believe me or not, but either way..I came home with rock Band II yesterday afternoon, and I got the rrod for the second time since launch. I love the fact that my console will be fixed for free, but it is really frustrating not to be able to play a game I waited so long for, for aproximately 3 weeks.

I do have a ps3 and Wii as well, and to be honest I wouldn't miss them if they were to go on a repair vacation, but it is nice to know I can rely on their hardware which is more then I can say for my beloved 360.

I took my chances and I love my 360. I know it will probably break, thats shame on Microsoft, but until then it is my favorite console.Wasdie

Alot of what will be on the 360 in 09 still hasnt been announced.

Tha's the thing Dru, I do believe you and it sucks...that's the chance we took when we bought our consoles. And there is no way I would even think about staying with them, if

1. they didn't have the best library.

2 XBL didn't rule so much

3. It was free to repair.

Hopefully MS will realize this next gen, as I think this is the only reason Sony is still in the console race. MS made a huge mistake at least they owned up to *cough ps2 dre* and will repair it for free;)
