Nice but I'm sure it's way too expensive and will take a while for it to become mainstream and affordable.

Aside from that being ANCIENT (a 2 1/2 year old link? yeeesh)

You must not know much about A/V.

At 56 inches such a resolution is a complete waste - the eye can no resolve that level of resolution over 1080p using screens of that size at normal seating distances. In order to do so you'd have to sit less than a foot away from the screen.

In order to resolve those high levels of resolution you'd need a 100" + projector and screen setup assuming normal seating distances.

it would be even more of a waste in the typical PC monitor screen (in the 20-29 inch range,) unless you play PC games by literally pressing your face against the screen. Otherwise, it would make no difference.

When it comes to resolution increases there is an extreme law of diminishing returns. Spend some time at a place like AVSforum.com.

True HD is about as useless a word as ""future proof"" nothing is true hd since computer monitors can do resolution much higher and their are newer tvs with 120hz and higher resolutions going to be comming out in the next year.

That isn't anywhere near the point. The TC is acting like this setup is relevant right now. It isn't.It would be completely impractical to build a rig that could run it. And what games support resolutions that high?

Right.

I heard oleds were mainly popular because they are so cheap (and easy to use on clothing/packaging whatever as they hardly require electricity and can be bend?), but they don't last very long?
However when i saw the first sony tv it was supersmall, superexpensive and stiff (though with immense refresh, contrast and thin screen).
Do You know how long they are supposed to last?

OLED is a new type of screen but its really small and will come in 28+inch in the next few years, but wiht a large price tag, considering 11inch is 2499.99 , but Sony already has there 4K resolution tv's, though they arnt in production yet... (4 x 1080p)
