You certainly are original. Seriously, we've seen someone make a thread about "what nintendo is about!!" and then list a bunch of low budget, poorly made crap.. oh no, you mixed things up by throwing in some excellent titles too. It's almost like what you are trying to say is that the wii has so much shovelware it's ridiculous, but among that sea there floats excellent well made games. You even choose to mix them up, as if to imply that it's hard for regular joe's to pick these out among the sea.

Oh, but wait.. you do realize you listed some great games in there.. don't you? Like Zack and Wiki, Order-Up, Drawn to Life, Big Brain and of course the amazing Professor Layton. This was your intention? Or, like many other people, do you just have limited knowledge about good games outside of the big budget, multi-million dollar advertising campaign, games?

That is a whole bunch of stinky trash to put out all at one time on the curb for garbage day. Hope your neighbors don't complain about the stench. :twisted:

It doesn't even matter what you put on those disc, parents will walk through fire so their kids can enjoy that trash. King of Clubs? Chicken Shoot? And yet sheep act surprised when everybody else say the Wii doesn't count or don't take anything non-Mario seriesly. The only thing you could possibly respect about those games is the amount they sell, and only shareholders should do that, not fanboys.bez2083

See, this is part of the problem he is illustrating(i'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and assuming he's intelligent rather then ignorant), even so called "gamers" can't see the interesting(non big budget nintendo titles) apart from the sea of filth. They are there, some truelly excellent games that stand among the best of the best on any system this generation, but so many people can't see them.

Oh well, i do think he was wrong to include some DS titles. The DS has done an excellent job of filling out its library and it is much easier to see the excellent games among the other not so great games. The Wii, on the other hand, is still too new and being flooded with even more crap.

You could probably find almost as much shovelware on the 360.

Thank you for that assumption, sir. I've actually played Zack & Wiki and thought it was okay. I've also played Ninjabread Man, and Carnival Games, and several inferior multiplats too. It's not that I can't see through the filth, it's that a great majority of the games that I've played just weren't that good. Personally, I haven't enjoyed any game on the Wii that didn't feature Mario, including Metroid, and Zelda, but that's just me. I do agree though that putting the DS games on the list really didn't make sense because the DS has been more marketed toward younger players.

Zack and Wiki is trash? Kororinpa is trash? Oh and how is this what Nintendo is about, they made none of the games on that list.

Also last time I checked I'd not bought a single game off that list (except the decent ones that you for some reason put up) and I've still owned about 40 great Wii games...

though am no fan of the Wii (or Nintendo) its not fair to just post a bunch of shovelware titles and make it seem like that's all the Wii has to offer... surely there are loads of crap titles out on the Wii but there are also a handful of great games which are keeping fans of Nintendo happy...

I didn't exactly say it was you i was refering to. You said that "everyone else" was claiming the wii didn't count, so i suppose i was referring to those people. People who just assume there is nothing but crap on the wii/ds except nintendo's main titles. Are you saying you fit into that group?

Surely you can admit the quality of some of the titles i listed(zack and wiki, professor layton, order-up), even if they didn't cater to your tastes. But how many other people know about them? The wii has actually had a great year so far, but how many gamers who frequent n4g or even gamespot know this? Some claim there's been nothing since brawl or mario kart, but don't they know about pes2008, boom blox or blast works? That is the problem, some of these titles just aren't huge budget titles, they aren't getting huge marketing campaigns so even gamers are forgetting their existance.

I wasn't implying that he shouldn't include the DS because it's geared towards a younger demographic(it's actually geared toward every age group).. i was instead saying that the DS already has a huge library of good, great and excellent titles such that they are not drowning in a sea of filth at your local gamestore; at least noowhere near the level the wii's library unfortunatly seems to be. Which sucks, because the wii really does have alot of excellent titles(even if they aren't for everyone afterall).

Your post lost some credibility when you added Professor Layton and Zack and Wiki on the list.

I knew what I was getting into when I bought the Wii so I'm not really disappointed.

No go to metacritic and you'll see it's true, it's received higher review scores then 75% of PS3 games.
