I game on a 50" plasma TV and pretty soon i'll be getting a 4k IPS TV.

My pc is in the living room so I usually game on it at night when everyone is in bed. I should hook it up to the big tv. Lying on the couch playing some stratergy sounds cool.

PC...better than consoles. The 1-2 great console exclusives I'd miss out on every year are equated by the many pc exclusives I enjoy, so that's a wash.

Consoles can't send a 144hz 1440p image to this new monitor...bummer.

i am more than fine with my 27in Acer XB270H TN monitor. The colors and PQ are very nice and 1080p at 144hz with G-Sync is is good enough for my eyes.

...and just to add. This does not come cheap. My little 1080p monitor was $600 over the holidays. My GTX970 cost $350. You need a beefy card to run those high frame rates if you want to take advantage of the monitors refresh rates. I can barely push 100 fps on many games, much less 144 fps at 1080p, without reducing some of my ultra graphics settings to high or lower. Try to imagine pushing those fps with a 1440p or UHD monitor. As i understand it, not even a GTX980 can achieve those frame rates at 1080p or 1440p with Ultra settings.

Then don't talk about couches and big screens when you post a link of a 27 inch monitor, idiot.

If its just for gaming then the Rog is what most reviewers say to go for.

The ROG uses a TN panel.

If you are coming from a IPS panel then the `ROG will be a disappointment. IPS panels have much better colour compared to TN. The only thing TN has going for it is the speed but even then there are IPS panels that can match most standard TN's for response time. That being said, if you are coming from another TN panel/crappy monitor then the ROG is just fine. If you are using your PC just for gaming then a TN panel is more than enough.

You sit closer to the screen you utter morons 27" is large when you sit less than 2ft away anything bigger 32 sitting that close is too big you Uninformed ignorant morons..

So the best games are multiplats and all multiplats are better on PC. Sounds like a gaming PC is a good investion. Not to mention you have a thousands of exclusives to choose from if you feel like trying a genre that's not saturated on consoles.

I already have my PC hooked to the same big TV as my PS4... I game on my couch no matter what platform.

Unless it's a FPS, in which case I switch display to my monitor and play on the desk with KB/M.
