This is why PSP and PS3 will Pull ahead and win

As you know the PS3 hasnt been the best thing for the past year, PS3 had some great games 07, but it's getting better games this year. This is the year that PS3 will take lead over Wii, people are getting tired of Wii and the novelty is waring off, and people arent playing they're Wii's anymore. Why? No hardcore games, after SSBB, Wii Fit, and maybe Mario Kart were does Wii go? No where, and im not being a fan boy but thats how it seems.

PS3 has soo many great games coming out, not to mention one of them is GTA4 and people love GTA so this step up will surely put the Wii in 3rd place, also because Xbox360 is getting some great stuff. PS3 is getting MGS4, FF13, The Final fantasy fighting game, and more stuff. It has Blue ray and people want bluray now, and more people have HDtV's than SD's now in 2009 you will have to get rid of your SDTV and Wii will be useless because people want to play in full HD. A whole lot of People want a PS3 now.

No PSP, PSP has GoW:CoO, and thats getting reveiws better than any DS game. The adults want PSP because it has movies and Adult games and UMD has great support to do alot of movies. The PSP to PS3 connectivity is looking good, and uou can play music and have photo's on PS3.

Also people are starting to say that the Wii controller is starting to become a pain to play on, I can see Nintendo dropping Wii in 2009 because 3rd parties dont wanna develope for it.

Pokemon made a win by the PSP impossible.

The PS3 could still pull ahead though.

theres no way psp can catch up, ps3 on the other hand, it's almost CERTAIN it will pass the 360. It really is beginning to give MS a run for it's money, MS has basically discontinued their 360 and are possibly considering a new model and are even considering blu ray add on and it's gonna spend a lot of money advertising exclusive DLC on GTA 4, which a lot of people won't care about.

The PS3 has sold nearly 10 million units and that is considered a rough start with all the criticism it got. The price will only get lower and the games are only getting better.

The wii has always been the cheapest thus it's incredible sales figures. but it's gonna slow down eventually and give ps3 the oppurunity to catch up. MAYBE EVEN PASS THE WII!!

HDTVs will be outselling SDTVs, certainly, as HD has pretty much become the standard by now. There's no way there are more HDTV owners than SDTV owners though.

PSP will not catch up, Pokemon pretty much deleted most chances of that happening. As for PS3, it is still too far behind. I think it has all the chance, but the Wii is still going forth at full steam and shows no sign of slowing down, Nintendo will deliver great games... Just wait for some starwars or some sword fighting content. The 360 has a good lead and good games, I think its almost official about the blu-ray add on, as well as Microsoft is working hard to get good games for their console, and Live is an appealing future. PS3 will get a great boost from blu-ray, and MGS and other games that are the PS3 exclusive. The sony fanbase is huge and it will give them a lot of support, and the 360 RRoD is not helping with the casual gamer. But I am not sure that it will pull ahead. I see PS3 and 360 ending it hand in hand, while teh Wii is on top...

What new "TV thing" happening? You mean the FCC forcing broadcasts to go Digital.. little NEWS here, but DIGITAL TV does not equal HIGH DEF TV.. SDTV's can do digital TV just as well any other tv can. If this isn't the "TV thing" you're talking about what is it?

Novelty of HD? in a few years, every house will have at least one, and no i would rather play my games in Hd than in SD. I agree with you on the psp comment though, GoW is the only worthwhile game for the next few months

i was referring to ps3 surpassing the 360. its very possible for it to pass the 360 by the end of the year, even more likely for it to pass the 360 before 2 years. the wii, yeah it could take longer than a couple of years

SDTV's that can receive digital broadcasts are still gonna be lightyears cheaper than HDTV's of the same size. Most people go for price when buying most things.

Hate to break this to you, but adults have laptops and iPods. Also, LOL at the bit about the great movie support for UMD.

PSP catching to the DS? Not even if DS decides to stop selling for half a year. But the PS3 still has a chance of making a comeback though. In the forseen future which is about 2 to 3 years, no. But it still has a chance when the Nintendo next console comes out and Wii has stopped being made..

HD is not really a big reason for people to buy a ps3. check around the net, you will find articles about how about half of all households that have an HDTV arent even watching HD programming. these people dont know that you have to get a different cable/satellite box, what hdmi/component cables are, 1080p, contrast ratio, etc.

so just cause people have HD, doesnt mean they know how to use it

people dont like Wii any more, the controller wast good, and the games are for kids, and they have not alot of games. If the Wii isn't liked anymore, then explain to me why it's sold out all across North America? Explain to me why the millions of units sold in the Holiday Season weren't enough compared to the millions of would-be Mii-makers? Don't you think that Wii Play, Fire Emblem, Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda, Pokemon, Wii Fit, RE4, Metroid Prime 3, Warioware, No More Heroes, Brain Age, and much, much more will appeal to the average consumer? What can you really base your "people are seeling (sic) them and getting PS3's" statement off of? There are more than Mario games and the last-gen graphics are noticeably better than the Gamecube's or Xbox's, and it's clear to me that your post creates more questions than provide answers.

Can you make any more fanboyish points in your post possibly? People don't like the Wii anymore? Thats why I get probably 25-30 calls a day asking if we have any Wii's in stock, along with more than that in people asking in the store. the controller wast good? Yes, I agree.. the controller was good. The games are for kids? Not all of em, but then again.. A lot of X360 and PS3 games are for kids. Just becuz something is rated E for EVERYONE doesn't mean its for everyone. Wii has greater than last gen graphics which makes them NOT last gen graphics. Just mario games? PSP will not surpass the DS it's impossible, but I will say Sony has done very well with PSP. It's really the first to even survive against one of Nintendos handhelds let alone capture a good chunk of the market. It's also a great device.

PS3 it's too early to tell, we don't know what Nintendo or Sony have planned in coming years. But it is possible. If Sony can keep lowering the manufacturing costs of PS3 it could do well against the Wii. As time goes on people are realizing the PS3 does offer more. And quite a few are being disappointed with the Wii.
