[QUOTE="Jesus_on_fire"]Niether rFactor or C.A.R.S have subscription fees, Your thinking of iRacing I think he's thinking of playing Forza online on the 360 ;P[QUOTE="razgriz_101"]
thing is the likes of these are less acccesible while extremely realistic and im sure one of the ones you posted requires a subscription fee which isnt feasable for everyone.

if you read what i initially posted in reply to that instead of jumping to a conclusion and proof reading for a change instead of finding a silly way to bash forza you might have gotten what i said.

On these PC sims. If I wanted hyper realistic physics I'd go out on one of those trackdays. GT and Forza give you a realistic feel for each car but still makes it accessible.I'm a PC gamer but tbh the racing sim genre is the one time I side with the consoles.
PC racing sims do have better simulation, but Forza and GT have heaps of cars, upgrades, tracks and lots of other things like Forza's robust community features and livery editor and GT5's...... uhhh. Yeah but anyway I like console racing sims better.
Are you pretty much **** if you don't have a wheel? I would like to try to get into it, but it seems like learning curve is very high and unforgiving.Oh yeah,I´m pretty excited to play rFactor 2,along with iRacing it will be the best sim racer out there in the market.

I guess you can play them with a controller, but the optimal way is with a wheel,it´s the way a sim racer is meant to be played. But the controller works well too,I mean I tried it with Race 07 and it´s fine, just not as good as with the wheel.Oh yeah,I´m pretty excited to play rFactor 2,along with iRacing it will be the best sim racer out there in the market.

*sigh* when will people understand..in TRUE Sims (not the watered down, casual, console editions like FM and GT) Graphics have never been or will be the for front of the game.
graphics don't mean **** and Graphic ***** should stay on playing FM and GT.
Anybody that plays the likes of R-factor, GTR and iracing know what I'm talking about. I don't care about the poly count of the freaking rear tail light... or foliage.. You simply don't notice it when your playing. IF you are...then quite simply get out of the racing line and let the people though that are faster..
FM and GT are wonderful games but still have nothing on the likes of a proper sims like Iracing/GTR/Rfactor...

I was not bashing Forza I was bashing the 360. And it was a joke of course, I got what you said.Visuals and audio are both part of simulation... I think it's just elitism, just sayin' "Our game looks and sounds like garbage, but the physics are good, you inferior graphics obsessed peasants"*sigh* when will people understand..in TRUE Sims (not the watered down, casual, console editions like FM and GT) Graphics have never been or will be the for front of the game.

Inconsistancy
I see what you mean...but no..really its not..At the core experience of it...graphics mean very little while enveloped in a race..sure maybe if people are on the side lines and look at screen shots they go blahhhh the lighting this or poly count that...that to me it's pure comedy..
Now the ironc part is because a game like iracing, GTR2 or Rfactor2 wont have the same "graphics" as say FM or GT..the game is shot down...much like this thread has shown...again.. comedy..
Looks pretty awesome!
Although its going to be hard to beat out Forza4, its an amazing racing game. Obviously not as much of a sim as what is available on PC, but so what, Forza4 pwns.
I always wonder to myself what Forza would be like on PC, ohhh one can dream.. for now I will enjoy it on 360

I think you need both. Physics are by far the determining factor when you're racing though. As a matter of fact I'd rather turn the graphics down and have a smoother driving experience. That said I'm all about having more immersive tracks and better looking cars. When I get track mods for rfactor for instance, I pay attention to track detail and realism and the same can be said about the cars. Please Log In to post.
