I'm not seeing the revolutionary gameplay there.PBSnipes
Me either. Looks almost like an updated version of armorines for N64.

It looks fun, but not a whole lot going on. Does look more fun than killing the Covenant Grunts though. It doesn't look "revolutionary" because none of the good features were even really used....
Halo just farts out innovation doesn't it.Me either. Looks almost like an updated version of armorines for N64.

Its not on 360 so why compare it to Halo?Corvin
Halo is beloved on this forums. So I thought I'd cause some controversey.
Plus, this is system wars.

nah... not just him. I dunno Crysis just has it nailed. If you say that gameplay sucks someone ought to slap you.
Shooting aliens with a rifle? Been there done that, looks average.

Ok... know what I give up trying to convince fanboys that they are missing out on a great game. THIS ISN'T THE GREAT GAMEPLAY, although it does show how excellent the gunplay in Crysis is. Besides name onegame that has aliens that fight like that and has ice environments like that, all at the same time. That's right you can't.
This trailer doesn't seem to show off the notable aspects of Crysis gameplay to me. The trailers with the player fighting the North Koreans show off the gameplay much better IMO. Especially since they tend to highlight the weapon customizations and nanosuit modes more. (Now if they'd try something like running up to an enemy in speed mode, then quickly switching to strength mode and start force-feeding some superpowered knuckle sandwiches before said enemy can react...)NamelessPlayerI remember doing that in the Jedi Knight games.

Hipocryte. So many Crysis vs Halo threads. @_@
Amazingly though, the TC isn't an idiot/fanboy which is different from all the other Crysis vs Halo thread. Im shocked.

no.... just no. Jedi Knight games were amazing but they have absolutely nothing in common with Crysis....

but this is FPS meets the Force. So I think we can give it some props.

All those nano suit abilities sound a hell of alot like the force powers in the Jedi Knight games. Force speed, force jump, force grip etc. Now that you've reminded me, I feel an urge to go out and buy a full copy of Jedi Knight for once. Even better, it still runs smooth even on older hardware with K6-2 350s and Voodoo 2s, so I can have myself a little three-player DM here with liberal usage of Force powers to spice things up...[QUOTE="thirstychainsaw"]As opposed to the revolutionary gameplay in Halo, correct?[QUOTE="_CivilizationX_"][QUOTE="PBSnipes"]I'm not seeing the revolutionary gameplay there._CivilizationX_

Did anyone say Crysis was innovative in this thread either? I mean Crysis has new elements and they are glaringly obvious, but it may or may not end up innovative. Halo 3, is not innovative, nor was Halo. As I said, Crysis may not end up innovative, but it does have newer gameplay elements that haven't been really seen before.

Too bad they're not in the video, I wasn't referring to the whole game just that video, the game looked average (in the video).

It looked average in that video, but its not like fighting Covenant Grunts looks more fun than fighting those aliens. Just saying... He was right in a way.

Why is he compairing them to grunts though? Drones are more alike to those than Grunts.
