[QUOTE="Planeforger"]How do you know?Aye, exactly. The game was never going to look as good as the original images.

I don't know for certain, but how many games ever match their initial target renders/bullshots? They usually don't.

Yeah but I've never seen such a drop in quality like this, and those initial bullshots are usually rendered on and for PCs this was on a PS3 blu-ray disc. It is very obvious to me that the game has been downgraded although I don't know the reasons.[QUOTE="Planeforger"][QUOTE="RedruM_I"] How do you know?RedruM_I

The same thing happened with FF10, as I recall.i like the newer pictures better, they look more lifelike, and the textures are most likely what they were meant to be... every game shows something over the top when it is revealed...crysis trailer anyone
Right... the system that 90%+ of the time that brings out better multiplats is going to be effect because of a console with a blu ray disk that requires installs? to perform the same as a DVD .Birdy09
FFXIII was developed specifically with the PS3's hardward in mind. Regularly, when that happens, the outcomes tends to be superior to the 360 games (see also: Uncharted, Killzone 2). Now, after Square took on the 360 for the project, the visuals have suffered a suspicious downgrade--not to mention the Japanese voiceovers have been removed.
The PS3 has unarguably been gimped.

Visuals that did not exist could not have been downgraded. Those were CGI render targets...Please Log In to post.
