I love downloadable content but not when it makes itunes look really cheap.

500 points for 3 songs is an outrage.

And I'm sure I don't need to explain that itunes tracks are just music tracks, right?  And the songs for GH2 have game programming built into them.

I don't need to explain that to anyone here, right?

You also don't have to explain why 3 songs cost more then most of the classic arcade games right?

Or why it's less expensive than many other arcade titles and other game add-ons.

Right. Except that 90% of that programming was done two years ago when the very same track came out in GH, right? And didn't we pay MORE for GH2 in the first place? Maybe they should try throwing us a freaking bone instead of charging us $2 a song. And don't give me the argument "they added content", because to take advantage of the "new" content, you need to buy another ****** guitar, and thosearen't cheap.

So you're telling me that the programming for GH for PS2 the same as for GH2 for Xbox 360?  So it was just a File>Save As type of simplicity?

And the GH guitar is totally compatible with the 360?

Or is it possible that the two wholly different technologies...separated by entirely different platforms in entirelty different generations of hardware.... one without online, the other WITH online.....could... maybe, just maybe... require very different types of programming?  Isn't also possible the the licensing agreements from one game to another could have changed, requiring brand new or modified licensing agreements...which would require additional legal considerations?

That maybe that takes just a wee bit of man-hours to put together

NOT buying the content won't break the game, will it?  Isn't it still a complete game without the download?

Or maybe you're like most other consumers out there that want everything for nothing, and you want it yesterday?

I love the ability to download songs, and for 2 dollars a pop it is well worth it. I think the pricing is more of a structure for future songs that Activision/ Red Octane will have to pay licensing fees for. Did anyone actually think they would be free?
