E3 was so nuts but in a good way. Waves of information coming in and their was always something to be excited about. It was like a Mcdonalds super sized value meal, too much food, but man did it taste good.
I forgot that E3 wasn't happening this year, boo.

:lol:Â Agree.
E3 would of been really fun this year, they would of had plenty of demo's on XBL to download and some great new trailers of high titled games.
Though I must say even though we dont get a lot of info its probably a great thing for developers in a way. Developers would spend months prepairing for E3 sometimes and that cant be a priority that really isnt something they should be concentrating on. So mabye with the presure not as high we will be seeing a tad bit more polished games.Â
Well as a whole it will be better for the industry.
1. No more money wasted that could be better spent on games.
2. Developers no longer have to show up with half-done games (Too Human)Â or make some CGI demo's to make up for lack of footage. (Killzone 2)
Â
Then theirs the bad.
1. Small games will have a harder time getting noticed, hyped, or any buzz at all.
2. E3 was the best way to hype the mainstream media about video games, now they will all but forget about covering games without the spectacle of E3 to entice them.

Why the heck did it get downgraded anyways?SergeantSnitchToo much money for too little return, I imagine.

How times have changed... it's been one year since the last, and final E3 took place in California; what with it's big blockbusters, new I.P. announcements, in-depth looks and the holiday season's biggest games... and even the fruits of love and labour that were the displays in Kentei(?) Hall. But now what are we doing? Xbox 360 fanboys are waiting for a Dashboard Update, Sony fanboys are waiting for games, and Nintendo fanboys... well, they're probobly playing the latest Mario spin-off title.
So as fanboys, let's gather together in rememberance of E3. What do you miss the most?

This use to be such an eventful week. R.I.P. e3 as we know it.Â

But developers would often spend months just getting ready for E3, their time could be better spent actually working on their games.

I don't know the actual reason, though. I'm just supposing.
morning?? I think you mean "mourning", but anyway, we will still have tons of info & vids and pics to salivate over from E3 this year.... actually we'll probably get more info, since E3 is strictly a Developers/Game Reporters thing now..... there is NO public, which allows people from IGN & Gamespot more time with upcoming games, and will allow them to give us a better idea of what to expect.Â
I think the change to E3 is actually a good thing for the millions of us who would never actually get to go to one. I'm sure the public who would frequent E3 every year are probably bummed.
