You're right and wrong. Modern Warfare 2 will join Halo and Grand Theft Auto. It will be one of the biggest entertainment releases of all time. It's going to destroy StarCraft II. :)

Its gonna bea close call, all three games you'vementionedare hot contenders MW2, SC2 then WiiSR in that order, although it wouldn't supprise me if over time, the overall sales opposite that. ie. WiiSR, SCR, MW2.

If so I don't understand some people. Wii Sports did so well because it came free with every Wii, and it gets old after a week or 2.

Wii Sports Resort will sell well, but over the long haul. MW2 will probably have the most first day sales.

New Super Mario Bros Wii 2D Mario games sell better than the 3D ones.

That's the kind of game that sells big over time. I doubt casual gamers will be at a midnight launch of it. No, we need a game that has a fanatic fanbase.
