I've said it before and I'll say it again . Microsoft shot all its guns back in 2007 . Yes, they have the multiplats too , but Sony has MORE games and incredible first party support . If microsoft doesn't impress on E3, it can turn out bad for the 360 owners ...2009 has been a disaster for the 360 so far ...all there was was Rezie and SF4, games that don't even appeal to everyone .

anyway back on topic... since this thread is about PS3 should Sony make a couple of new announcements (ie new games we havent heard of) + a possible price-cut announcement that would be a huge turning point for PS3.. considering it has some great exclusives coming up already the above 2 would mean putting Sony in a better position and be more competitive..

I hope Squaresoft announces that they've grown a pair, and aren't waiting for the entire 360 port of FFXIII to be completed before they release the PS3 version in the states. From what I understand, they wouldn't release the demo with the Advent Children Blu Ray stateside because they were concerned that PS3 owners would get to play it before 360 owners. This is the epitome of the absurdity of the console wars and I think, with so many great games out there these days, I'm going to stop supporting Square, not because it's supporting the 360, but because it's playing some sort of bizarre gamer's realpolitick.

well i hope Kojima Prod / Konami have some interesting announcements related to the MGS universe... as regards 360 all i need is some info / gameplay vids for Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell& Alan Wake...

My dream list though is having announcements (footage/info displayed) for Jak4 & Syphon Filter on PS3 and Killer Instinct & Geow2 on 360... that would make my day/month/year :)

Well, knowing how Microsoft works, I wouldn't get my hopes up for E3, they are selling a lot of stuff and making a lot of money, which means they are in coasting mode, and Microsoft is very good at coasting mode (Windows is still winning the OS sales right?), so while I wouldn't expect any huge announcements (maybe they're stealing more exclusives) I also wouldn't expect their sales to go down, and ultimately that's all any of these companies care about (sales), which is why Microsoft has been good at stealing exclusives this generation.

I only expect big announcements to come in a couple years about the next gen and then I might get excited about Microsoft making any big announcements as far as games are concerned (Microsoft only works when they need to).

Sony would be stupid not to drop the price, thats what most of the people who still have there ps2s are waiting for anyway if they haven't jump ship to the 360 (like myself lol). Rest assured since my 360 just RRod... I am just waiting for a price drop for the ps3...I got nothing but time..

That's the third time just tonight I've seen a Wii owner get upset about a comment that had no direct bearing on the Wii whatsoever. I think they're sensitive about the fact that most gamers don't even perceive the console as a legitimate contender, so they fail to mention it when they're talking about the far more salient PS3/360/PC rivalry.

Easy there dude. He wasn't even bashing the Wii.

The PC's a bit of a red herring given the price point of an adequate PC. The other problem is PC owners don't have "first party" content, which tends to be pretty high quality.

wrong, people care to discuss about games coming out on PS3 & 360 because luckily both systems get great games.. with this am not saying Wii gets no quality titles, its just maybe (just maybe) the majority of gamers in SWare not much interested in what Wii has to offer..

Sell the PS3 slim at $299 and you will jumpstart PS3 sales, guaranteed.

i agree but a price cut will be more massive turning point for the PS3, we arleady know that PS3 is coming to have the best exclusives around, but yet there aren't enough PS3 ownersto play them.

while those games look really good, the PS3's best bet is still the slim and a price cut.

Kojima can even throw a MGS6 and still it wont help the ps3.

No Price Cut = No Chance

If Sony reduces the price of the PS3 to $300 or even $350, it will be impossible to find one on the shelves come next November and December. There are too many quality games that exist across too many different genres for the system to not exceed in the entertainment department. Plus, the added Blu-ray tech. is an incredible bonus for consumers. Especialy, for adults purchasing the system for their children.

PS3 just doesn't appeal to me in terms of it's library. To date, I only have 3 games on the console compared to my 360's 35+ (not including 20 or so Arcade titles) and my Wii's 7 titles. To each their own, but don't go around saying NUTHING WILL STOP TEH PSTHREE LOLOLOL when that's a purely subjective point. I don't think I'll be buying any PS3 titles for a loong, long time. Yeah, there's a lot the competition can do. But even if they don't do much, they are far enough ahead that sony couldn't catch up to them in the forseeable future.

If you Have Halo 3, why would you need KZ2 or R2? If you have Crackdown ect.. why would you need inFamous (especially with Prototype coming out). You're comparing like titles.. That's probably why the PS3/360 are splitting there markets down the middle.. because they have entirely too many like titles..

I'd really like to see Microsoft and Sony's next generation consoles support the BIOS, and differ only in media and miscellaneous options. With such a large installment base they could finally poop on the Wii.
