Came out today, didn't it?
Playing the thing. Gonna marathon them all. First one is nice to play. Nice changes. I still like these games, and I still think they look nice.
Anyone else dipping into these (again) ?

Also Digital Foundry are doing in depth comparisons with the ps3 versions for each individual game (they've only done 1 and 2 so far); but from reading it sounds like BluePoint have done a hell of a good job with the remasters, even going as far as remodeling entire assets and putting in brand new texture maps

I can attest to that. I'm playing the first one, and it looks better. Not just the res and framerate, but assets. I replayed it like... I think last year, and it just didn't hold up.
This looks alright.
Think I'm going to get Dragon Quest Heroes instead and maybe The collection down the road but I may skip. Bloodborne the old hunters is still coming out and so is Tales of Zestiria which kind of takes priority even tho I haven't played all the uncharted games.
There are a lot of choices for high quality games to choose from on PS4 this holiday season. This collection was looking like a lock earlier this fall but not so much anymore, who knows.
They somehow messed this up harder than 343 did with the MCC. No multiplayer is unacceptable and I'll only play it if it becomes a PS+ title.
@freedomfreak: what's your psn? (if i dont already have you added) can you shareplay to me so I can watch some footage? :)
Sure can. Cpt_Chaplin

Seeing how the name and concept is clearly plagiarism of The Master Chief Collection, I think it's fairly obvious they removed the multiplayer out of fear of what happened with TMCC, they basically took the easy way out.
My thought are, been there, done that, but to all who didn't play it previously, or just want to run thru it again, enjoy it, they are really good games.
I may get them once they hit the bargain bins like I did with the PS3 versions.
Haven't picked it up, game's already on hold at the library. I'm comfortably skipping the first game in the collection as I replayed it earlier this year and have had my fill of it. Game's actually still quite good in many cases, but there's too many awful sections I don't want to go through. Shame because I really want to see how they stepped up the environments in its case.
Quite excited for Uncharted 2. Obviously I'll be revisiting it with more than a half decade of TPS games played since its release, and if the demo is any indication, it's both held up quite well in some ways and been surpassed in others. But the 2009 release was a genuine classic for many reasons that will be there for years to come. Game also was quite a looker in the day, I want to see Bluepoint's changes here. 60 FPS wooooooo
Uncharted 3, eh. People know my opinion on the game when it came out. It's basically Uncharted 2 with a lot of charm sucked out, horrible pacing, overt story issues, and tons and tons of filler. It adds "depth" to characters that no one asked for, it creates more questions than it has answers, and just feels so inconsequential in many parts. I did enjoy some of the gameplay sections like the boatyard, because they provided the environmental layers that supplemented Uncharted's not-so-great gunplay. I'm ready to see this game without my Uncharted fanboy goggles on, although some of the big flaws with the game like poor enemy placement, the aforementioned filler, etc. are just poor under any scope.
As for the multiplayer, yeah, for $60 I'm pretty annoyed it's not there. As a consumer it sucks. But with my full-on Sony defense force pants on, I can see the business rationale behind it:
1) Uncharted 4's multiplayer is the main focus on the multiplayer side of this. Adding two prior games' multiplayers would mean those multiplayers would only have communities until March when 4 comes out. After that they'll have two versions of 2's and 3's multiplayer both with empty MPs.
2) The work done on the campaigns is quite large, which is why hiring Bluepoint was the right hire. The fact they did as much work as they did on the campaign and fit it on the disc makes me wonder if they could ever even release the Collection on time with the extra work they'd have to put in for multiplayer.
3) The old Uncharted 2 and 3 multiplayers are still alive, though predictably vacant now. They were never world beaters though, never the main draw of the package for many people, and weren't huge hits at MLG like MCC's multiplayer games were. It would have been straight up crimes not to include the multiplayers of the MCC. Here, it's just a lot less pronounced, no matter how much of a fan you were of them (and I really like pre-patch Uncharted 2 multiplayer).
Might receive it as a gift next month or December. But I own them all on PS3 and can play MP. I try not to buy these enhanced editions.

Multiplayer wasn't the draw of the games...lets not overreact.
I didn't care for the series on the PS3, it was fun just not worth all the hype IMO, but I'll get this on PS4 one day anyways, probably, when it's $20 or free on PS+.
I wish more companies did this, released last gen games touched up for next gen. Would love to see lots of last gen games get this kind of treatment, especially for Mass Effect and Dead Space series.
I got to see the collection over at my friends house earlier today. The first game looks better, but 2 and 3 are just slight bumps.
I guess it's good for people that never played the games. For me I can wait until they are selling for under $20 (probably around Black Friday). $60 is way too much to pay for slightly upgraded games that I already own on the PS3, and haven't had a desire to go back through for a while now.
i finally have the game!
Dayum drakes fortune is such an improvement.
I recommend anyone who enjoys the uncharted games to buy this, even if you have the trilogy on the ps3 - this is a very worthy double dip
Yeah, it is. I need to start the second one, but I got other stuff going on.

"The Sly Collection"
"The Ratchet and Clank Collection"
"The Jak and Daxter Collection"
Kindly stop talking.
@davem1992:
What are you on about, starting what.
oh did I post something not to your liking sorry I should've said this
I'll be picking up these masterpieces on Friday and playing through them again can't wait PS4 just keeps on giving us amazing games to play
For me its not necessary at all, since I have played them countless times already.
For newcomers, I think its a great value.
TLOU >>>>>> Uncharted any day though
I'll get them again at some point.
Just started playing the last of us remastered. I think it's better than Uncharted, just a gaming masterpiece imo.
PS4 Bunlde currently outselling Halo 5's bundle on Amazon. But not buying it. I'm more interested in Uncharted 4 and I'm way too much fun with the Battlefront Beta. Too bad it ends monday.
since I already have the games on PS3, I probably won't pick it up on PS4 until it's like $20, when I get a PS4 that is, who knows though they're throwing it in with every PS4 now, when I get a PS4 I might end up with a copy regardless of preference
A remaster that includes one of the worst experiences I've ever had as a gamer (Uncharted 2).... No thanks. They should have paid me handsomely to play through that bullshit game.
On another note, I actually liked The Last of Us quite a bit. I played it through my first time on the hard difficulty and I enjoyed most of it quite a bit. It did a lot of brilliant things. However, I cannot bring myself to play the game a second time. It was very much a one time experience thing. So even if I liked Uncharted, I probably wouldn't spend money on the remaster as I feel it I'd have the same feeling about it.
