Time to call Sony on their BS

All I have heard from Sony for two years now is the CELL this and the CELL that.  So much so I bought the hype expecting to see some great titles down the way but I am reviewing all of Sony's upcoming games and I am ready to call their marketing a pile of Bull Crap. 

Its all a bunch of marketing hype and BS to get people to buy a more expensive console while offering not a shred of proof of its superiority. 

I base my belief on the utter lack of footage by Sony of any upcoming games that are obviously far better looking graphically then the 360.  I remember when M$ came out after the PS2 with all that smack talk they launched with tons of footage of all these fantastic looking games they later delivered on and even in the first 6 months of release the Xbox was so far superior in power to the PS2 that even crappy titles looked great (even if they were crap).

So where is the PS3's holy grail?  If its KillZone they would be showing the world. Heck we would be inundated with KZ2 footage but obviously they can't get that game to the point where they can even show a 15 sec clip of it in real time to show the world proof of smack talk that the PS3 is graphically superior to anything else.

 I know its only a few months after launch but where is the footage of the game to end all games?

I go on record officially calling Sony at as BS on this one and having pulled another EmotionEngine scam.  The PS3 will never be more than minimally better than the 360 in terms of graphics and only after a bazillion years like it took on the PS2 to get some stand out games out there.

This argument is going to be valid for the entire life of the PS3.   

Considering all the whining and griping Microsoft gets when it shows Forza2, Halo3, and Mass Effect its no wonder Sony keeps such a tight lid on videos and pictures of their exclusives. Oh well.

Anyway... If all you've heard from sony is the cell for the last 2 years I think you have very selective reading..

Ever think maybe they're just trying to get KZ looking and playing great to make sure they dont get flak for not reaching the target trailer, which... every game is getting right now? (Halo 3, Forza 2, motorstorm a month ago) 

It's not just sony... MS does it too.. and so does nintendo (Red steel graphics looked.. ya know.. not terrible in the first trailers too).

Hey what about the X1 and PS2?  They are all there but No Wii.......Much respect to what Ninty has accomplished.  But if Ninty takes over and Wii type games are all there is in 3  or four years I would lose interest in gaming.  I no longer think its a fad but its not me dude.  If thats the only console I had I would play Zelda to the end and then quit gaming altogether.

First off he start by saying that MS hyped Xbox and they delivered. MS hyped Xbox to put an end to load times, we till have those even in the second console. He also claims that all the Xbox titles destroyed PS2's even the crappy ones, again he shows no proof, when MGS2 looked nearly as good as Halo if it wasn't for the jaggies, let alone the crappy titles.

He also claims that Sony is only hyping Killzone as their killer app. when he himself states that thy only showed it once and hardly mentioned it again, unlike MS' Halo, which btw showed something that's a CGI not so long ago, similar to something?

Cell is an incredibly powerful chip, and is the beginning of a new era of CPU design.  Perhaps you shouldn't have inflated your expectations to unreasonable levels?Teufelhuhn

Can't remember anymore. Its either 61" or 62" . It was the first commercially available 60+ 1080p DLP on the market. The DLP's are great for gaming.

People actually STILL think that somehow, even with ALL PS3 games look far inderior to 360 offerings, including it s biggest names like MGS4 and FF13 that look WAY worst than Gears, Mass Effect, kameo and other 360 titles, PS3 will eventually have better graphics but only by a little

There is no doubt about it, and as games become more complex and better looking Ps3 will only get worst, while 360 better

- Oblivion, AA was cut, HDR-colors worst, some textures downgraded

- Splinter Cell 4, shaders all removed

- Colin DIRT a ground up for PS3 game, will arrive MONTHS later on PS3, runs fine on 360 !!!

- Assasins Creed, another PS3 supposdly title, the only trailer avalable is from 360, in X06

- Enchanted Arms, whole pieces of geometry removed, framerate still suffers, textures downgraded x10

- Fear, the game is like rendered in 640x480 and upscaled, it is that blurry on PS3

- The Drakness developers said their game will have better textures on 360 due to better GPU+ more ram

- Splinter Cell 5 can't even be done on PS3, not that anyone would like to seeing how bad SC4 turned out on PS3

- The curtrent version of Army of Two runs 60fps on 360 already, 30 on PS3 !!!

- GTA version shown was on 360 running fine, NOT on PS3 !!!
