The game does take some ideas from cod, but it's not a complete rip off of cod from what I watched and heard. It's an evolution away from cod and it brings a lot of new ideas to the FPS genre like wall jumping and mechs.

The focus on mechs is new. Most shooters have mechs,but probably don't focus on them that much.

This is just the uniformed trying to find a way to bash it :lol: Its closer to Battlefield than it is call of duty, plus it brings so many new innovative experiences to online multiplayer

If I were a betting man, I would put money up that Titanfall will come to the PS4. EA isn't going to let the (future) lead console go without gathering some money from their consumers.

For me it's

1. Mario Kart 8

2. Titanfall

Both are actually heavy multiplayer based, which is interesting since I'm usually SP focused. I have a few go to online games, these two will be my main ones next year. Remember that Titanfall is also slated for PC.

This. It reminds me alot of a typical Nintendo sequel. It's the natural evolution of the CoD formula, the next landmark in the

GoldenEye -> Halo -> CoD4:MW -> Titanfall 

lineage of multiplayer FPS gaming. I consider all 3 of those games to be masterpieces at their time, Titanfall looks like it's next up.

Titanfall didn't look bad by any means but I really don't understand all the praise. The Witcher 3 looks far more ambitious and interesting, yet that got completely snubbed when it comes to rewards.

Something tells me the people who did the awards are casual fragheads.

As long as you agree that it is by no means original or innovative. 

Neither of those ideas are new. Mechs were in games such as Halo 4, Crysis 3, and Battlefield 2142. Wall jumping is in Mirror's Edge and Brink and probably other games.DragonfireXZ95

It's not the fact that they are "mechs", it's the fact that you have a new dynamic introduced due to having two different things fighting each other (human vs mech dynamic)

MMO Analogy: It's like a restoration druid fighting a PVP Warrior in a duel, two vastly different classes/playstyles, but yet due to decades of balancing, results in an interesting PVP system where both have an equal chance at winning. Before you had PVP Warrior vs PVP Warrior, which is one-dimensional in comparison.

Resto Druid vs PVP Warrior is the equivalent of Mech vs Human. It adds way more strategy, gameplay depth and even the approach to how you design the maps.
