@StormyJoe:
True however the Xbox One is struggling with things it should not be struggling with. Every 360 launch game was in 720p and was mandatory. As the gen progressed though, games like Halo 3 suffered from sub HD resolutions.
There is no doubt that future games on both consoles will look and play better than launch games. Problem is, The PS4 is already more powerful and easier to develop for than the Xbox One. Can Microsoft really keep up after their decisions to replace a powerful console with a Kinect centered media device? If I was a betting man, my money would be against them.
And to base a console off of Knack would be no different than Dreamcast owners and N64 owners telling PS2 owners to "Have fun with Fantavision" back in 2000.
The first Xbox was a powerhouse. The Second Xbox was solid until Ballmer changed focus. I can't really call the Xbox One a worthy successor with so much left out in order to support bells & whistles.
The XO interface demonstration was very impressive. Those features are impressive as an add on though for people interested in an accessory to extend their media experience. Not as the consoles core however. If I could have a more powerful gaming centered Xbox One, I would have a preorder. I would even buy the media upgrade I'm suggesting. I mean I did buy the first Kinect after all.
