Guys, don't talk about the PSP or phone versions of CoD as if they were any good, even by CoD standards. PraetorianManthey'll be about as good as the vita version. it's gimped hardware that you have to buy for a gimped version, versus hardware you already own. CoD has never been a system seller, simply because everyone has at least one system to play CoD on.
You realise it will most definitely be on 3DS as well right? Activision publish it and 3DS is where the money will be.
300 bucks for a Vita and a copy of COD? No thanks. I doubt too many people are gonna jump on that. todd2rNo i agree i wouldnt do it either! Thats a bit of a silly buy!! But there are a hell of alot of cod idiots that will pay anything to play more cod. Playing cod in airplane trip, in the train? Shooting online against friends while u bored at ur grandmas house (if ur 13 lol).... Holy crap people are gonna want that!

If you had a phone with 360 internals inside of it, do you think it could even then run a "good" CoD experience? And CoD right now is the primary momentum carrying the 360 forward in the US market. It sells because CoD is very popular, friends want to play with friends, and in the US most of the people playing CoD area playing on a 360. I have serious doubts about how much of the US 360 sales are being pushed along by Kinect. Its certainly not the Kinect games that are doing it.

It cant, its simply not the same. Listen i do respect 3ds, i honestly do i bought one on launch day lol. But 3ds can simply not handle a true console cod. Vita tho surely can. On the scale of mw3? Nah. But on the scale of call of duty 3 at the very least, or call of duty world at war? U betcha! Vita can run lost planet 2 and basically uncharted drakes fortune. It can do cod and can be the first to offer a portable cod ONLINE experience. And its a cliche to mention this, i know, but two sticks makes a difference. It really doesYou realise it will most definitely be on 3DS as well right? Activision publish it and 3DS is where the money will be.

If the Vita manages to struggle through it's hardships it will be like the PSP. It will be on the side lines and cast to the shadows. It might gain moderate success but 3DS will beat it.
[QUOTE="ms555"]"but call of duty sucks!".... Yeah perhaps it does perhaps it doesnt. It doesnt really matter cus call of duty moves sales. For those of you that missed the peice of news, vita has a call of duty game coming for it as we speak, one that will be a true shooter on the go with the online multiplayer to boot. U dont care? Well millions of call of duty fanboys and 13 year olds will. Keep in mind 3ds improved in japan, but its main boost was when it got monster hunter. Call of duty is the monster hunter of the west, and tho i love my 3ds, 3ds can not offer a real portable call of duty experience Whether u hate or love call of duty, know this. When Call of Duty Vita comes around, watch vita fly off shelves And ps, ps vita has SO many games being made for it right now, practically every third party besides like valve, bioware, and bethesda are putting men on vita projects as we speak. Believe me, if for some bazaar reason uncharted cant catch ur eye, something is surely coming soon that willKaszillaThe DS and PSP has COD.So? Nobody cared about COD on those systems for a reason. We're talking about a REAL portable COD game. You know, one that actually plays like a console COD game. Dual analog sticks and all that jazz. The 3DS will have COD too. Guess what? Nobody cares. For the same reasons nobody cares about COD on Wii. Will people care about COD on Vita? Absolutely. A proper fully featured COD game that playes just like a console game on a handheld console will be a big seller. When COD Vita comes out the Vita will see a massive surge in sales. Expect big sales for Vitas bundled with COD next christmas.
It depends. If they made a COD on the Vita that's actually new and original them maybe but if it's just a port from the HD twins and pc then there is no point. Granted the COD game that was on the psp was it's own game but it sucked but since the Vita has two analog sticks and as long as it has online multiplayer then it could come out good. I myself don't really care since I don't like the COD games anymore but since it has a lot of fanboys it might help them out a bit.
Call of Duty is something you don't play on the bus or at recess.ActionRemixYou can play through the whole campaign during recess.

I found the PSP version of Call of Duty to be fore fun than most of the modern warfare games.

And again, why should people shell out $330+ to play something they can already play on their 360 or PS3?[QUOTE="Kaszilla"][QUOTE="ms555"]"but call of duty sucks!".... I think their is a COD game coming out for 3DS too, but I'm going to bet on two things: 1. The online support for the 3DS version is going to be very poor. 2. There is going to be good connectivity features or other incentives to own the PSV CoD in addition to the PS3 CoD title that year. and this is possible: 3. PSV and PS3 users will be able to play on the same servers. If 3 becomes true than the PSV may move a TON of units. As much as I don't like CoD, it can move hardware. PraetorianMan
I don't really get the connection you're making here.

They didnt have real call of duty, thats as legitamte as saying ds had real assassins creed. It got an assassins creed game sure but not the console experience. Point is this, even if nobody here on system wars is gonna jump on call of duty vita, um at least a hell of alot of call of duty kids will put vita on there wish list just for cod. U know im right, nobody said it would be intelligent to bu vita for cod but many will do it
Call of Duty kids have a 360 or a PS3 to play COD on.
I think this "COD Vita will move units" logic=grasping at straws.

I really don't think the people that buy COD in droves would have any interest in a portable version. Thinking otherwise would be like believing Call of Duty toothpaste would sell millions.organic_machineThe key is really tho two things, two sticks and a true ONLINE experience. Look thers a difference between what psp and ds got and what vita will be getting. This will be a real online experience. I get what ur saying, its too much miney for a cod thats not as good as the console one. But u should also think of that in terms of everything else then. I have mario galaxy 2 at home, why pay 160 and 40 to play super mario land 3d, a great game but just an appetizer to the main meal? Same philosophy here. If mario 3d land can be worth the handheld purchase so can cod

Plus you must be delusional if you think that people are going to shell out $250 on a handheld, plus $50 for the game just to play COD on a 4" or a 5" screen. It's not gonna happen.

It already is a stellar feature to keep glitchers and cheaters out of Mario Kart 7, add that into the 3DS version of COD and you could set up communities without Noob Tubers, Spawn Campers, or bad guys overall. Also, like I keep saying the Vita and the 3DS lack two extra shoulder buttons, which the 3DS gains when it has the Circle Pad Pro. So either way, on the 3DS/PSV you're probably going to have to do some silly back touch screen/lower touch screen swiping to toss those grenades wildly across the map unless you buy the Circle Pad Pro.

Don't forget tax and a memory card. That would bring it to about $350 with tax for a WiFi Vita, memory card and a $50 copy of COD. Whereas, once again, the 3DS with a copy of COD would run $220 with tax. A whole $130 cheaper. (or a whole Wii cheaper)It probably won't sell on the 3DS if people still think nintendo's wifi is as reputable as the DS's wifi.shadowchronicleAs a 3DS day one owner, let me tell you the 3DS's online is miles ahead of both the Wii and DS. I've already spent more time online in Mercenaries 3D Co-op than any PSP online title when I had my PSP

U mean just as delusional as hundreds of gamers were to pay a call of suty monthly fee? To pay 15 dollar map packs? Or perhaps to pay over 200 bucks to play a mario game inferior to mario galaxy, oooh or or perhaps as delusional as people were to pay 200 bucks for a portable mariokart similar to their mariokart wii?! How about all the people that want 3ds for smash bros.... Thats gonna cost over 200 to do, they are delusional? Please, dead serious, address these argumentsPlease Log In to post.
