My favorite part is saving the princess from King Kratos. Also the part where you drive a car into the sunset while ridge racer music is blarring out the radio is awesome. I like the fact that it has instances where it only take 30ish people to kill Luigi instead of 80 people raids like when you have to kill Mario in Permafrost!!Dups79

Is it the multiplayer or the single player? cause to be honest i think the single player is pretty crappy, but I enjoy the multiplayer. Iam not a big halo fan as a matter of fact I might not even buy halo 3 when it releases.i was just curious about what part of the game makes you people like it so much?khalil19104It's because Halo1 was so entertaining. I particularly enjoy the co-op multiplayer mode. Single player is pretty crummy and I prefer counterstrike for multiplayer (without the co-op). Halo2 didn't have enough changes in it. Let's hope they fix it for Halo3.

It's a critically acclaimed game loved by millions. It's no diffrent than those who like Zelda or Final Fantasy. So you don't like it, so what? There are people who don't like Zelda or Final Fantasy.

He did not get offensive. He was just comparing. I have a game you always like and you have loyal right? I like call of duty i bought every game and its great. psp today or tomorrow.I like both the single and multi. I am a big fan of the story. It is deeper than most people think(read the books). Also halo has one of the best soundtracks out there. As well co-op is always a nice feature for story mode. As for multiplayer, vehicle battles, zombie and it is just fun to play multi.lycrof
A good answer.
I myself think Killzone is better. It has a creative plot, intersting charcters, rewarding weapons and varied level design. Too bad my disk is a piece of crap used copy... I would have finished the game by now... *grumble* foxhound_fox
Meh I never played the single player but I really disliked the multiplayer.Weslii
It's just a really good game, and despite what most people believe, the first one was very innovative.TyrantDragon55Exactly. Also one of the reasons why Halo2 (at least for me anyways) was such a letdown. They didn't build on the innovation. They tuned up the graphics, added some guns, added some new enemies, and that was that.

Bungie claims Halo 3 feels more like Halo: CE so I am excited for it.

I personally enjoy the multiplayer/co-op alot. Its a good all-round game. The system wars perception is very different though..

No kidding. Goldeney 007 and Perfect Dark 64, while their control scemes are dated by todays comparisons, they were the true real console shooters and innovators. Both had amazing single player and multiplayer experiences, I loved Goleneye more in the multiplayer mode whereas Perfect Dark was better single player wise. However both were solid games that wound up being botched to death (PDZ and pretty much every EA made Bond game since) in their sequals.
Halo: CE - Because it changed my perspective.
It literaly blew me away and gave me a whole new viewpoint on console FPS games. Back in those days, I was a very dedicated PC gamer and I was extremely sceptical towards FPS games on consoles, Halo: CE came in and pretty much changed EVERYTHING. It went so far that felt that its Single Player was more intruiging than anything FPS-related that I had ever played on a PC (yes, that includes Half-Life and several other amazing PC FPS games with a great single player portion).
The story, the characters, the fantastic gameplay, the music, the visuals, the A.I, the vehicles, and the fact that you could enjoy all of this with someone else (co-op)....it was almost perfection.
Its multiplayer was great as well, however, I prefered my PC FPS multiplayer games over it (Unreal Tournament 99, Quake 3, Counter-Strike and so forth...). Single player-wise though, Halo opened a whole new world to me and I will never forget how it felt the first time. The story was intruiging enough for me to even buy the books in order to simply find out more.
While I still believe that PC is by far the main platform for FPS games, Halo: CE still changed my perspective of FPS on consoles towards the positive direction.
This is why I'm loyal to Halo: CE, the First Person Shooter that I view upon as the best of all time.

The first one was a very good game, the second one was good but very overrated, I remember me and alot of my friends were playing rainbow six black arrow, and couldnt wait for this game to come out, once we all got our copys, we went on to play halo 2 for 2 weeks, and finally realised it wasnt even that good of a game. I mean it was fun but that was about it, we all went back to rainbow six because it was a funner game playing clan matches. Dats just my opinion, and even to this day I have more fun with rainbow six then most shooters until a new Socom arrives on the ps3, then ill be on that game more. Till den rainbow six vegas and resistance fall of man online are the games I like right now. Hopefully halo 3 can add things to it, that the last 2 doesnt have.
Halo: Combat Evolved had one of the highest quality singleplayer FPS experiences out there. Halo 2... not so much.project343Is that a Too Human gif?

Lemmings love Halo cause its the only shooter that was half decent on the original Xbox and even now it still sucks compared to Unreal Tournament and Half Life in terms of gameplay quality and originality, there is absolutely zero fun factor in Halo, its a freakin snooze fest. Seriously the game lacks so much originality and character personality its not even funny, the dialogue and story line of both games is pure weaksauce. Plus the graphics are so damn dated now its not even funny, where are all the environment textures.DSgamer64
