ps4 games use zlib for compression format
ps5 games use kraken.
just like last of us on the ps3 saved games could not transfer over to the ps4
Naughty Dog would have to implement some feature to upload your PS3 save to their servers and then download a converted save on your PS4.
I rather have that 9 gigs though put with krekken than to have them use zlib that is 40% worse to compress data.
series x is using there same compression software as xbox one. which im not saying is a bad thing I'm just saying.
unless sony has a online converter from zlib to kraken.
how can we use a save data in a different format?
funny I'm not the tech guy in here but is the only one that figured it out.
so guys would you rather have that 9 gigs per sec on the ps5 or go back to the old zlib so we can use our save data for the few cross gen games? only the first wave of third party games and a few ps games do we need to worry about this. so who cares I want the 9 gigs per second
I pick the 9 gigs per second over saved games transfers.
funny how xbox fans see this as a bad thing because they rather have there save data cross over than to have more gigs per second though put.
because ssd speeds do not matter to them even though they praised how fast the series x was loading last gen games.
