All it is going to take is a few hours from your life and if you carefully read this article and read a few other guides about building a PC and overclocking then you will have yourself a really good gaming PC for 400 pounds INCLUDING AN OS.
Before somebody converts that to dollars just FYI a 40GB PS3 costs 300 pounds and an 80 or 60GB one is around 400.
That site played games after making a PC for 400 and it MAXED OUT COD4 and world in conflict. The PC plays crysis in high in low resolution and medium-high in high resolution. And low resolution means 720p BTW.
From the article above,
"once we'd overclocked the system, things got a lot more interesting and we were able to play all three games at settings that we were actually very happy to play the game at. Not only could we enable some of the high quality options in Crysis, but we could also play both Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and World in Conflict at their maximum settings."
So does anybody still have any doubts about PC gaming being as cheap as consoles but giving substantially more gaming performance?
