To Lemmings: Will you even buy FF13?

This news somehow overshadowed everything at E3 this summer,, but really, will this game even sell well on the 360?

The average 360 owner loves FPS or any game with all American action (look at the sales,,, and the targeted audience). Im not saying this a bad thing, but I just dont see FF13 sellin to well for the white box.

Be honest, sayin youll buy it just to boost 360 really makes no sense. Im just curious. I think most people enjoyed being able to gloat over ps3 owners more than actually being happy to have this game. Which is fine.

I didnt put a maybe option as obviously this game will get great scores, just like past FF games.

Let's look at the top selling PS3 games, Resistance, MGS4 and Motorstorm. Yeah, you're generalizing.

Untrue, there just isn't a big market for them. There never was actually, except for FF. You think Disgaea 3 is going to push over 600,000? Not happening.

Look at the top selling games on PS3, Resistance, Motorstorm, Call of Duty 4, Uncharted, and Metal Gear Solid 4. Almost the same style of games that sell well on xbox 360.

JRPG never sold really well on any platform, even PS2. The only JRPGs that sell really good are FF and DQ.

Ummm... a bunch of unkown RPGs havnt sold that well? so what? Isnt Resistance and MSG4 two of the PS3's highest selling games? how much did Folklore or Etarnal Sonnata sell on PS3?

Final Fantasy is very well known and will sell alot on all 3 platforms.

Most JRPGs are bad on every console, especially the PS3.

I am an RPG gamer first and foremost,

360 is the RPG console this generation, so I will buy it for 360.

People overeacted WAY too much over the loss of this game,, which probably wont even be released in NA by late 2010.

To the people who are responding to my 'generalizations' point of 360 owners taste, with similar figures for PS3 owners,, youre just proving my point that FF games just arent that appealing to anyone outside of Anime loving, fat guys that wear tight shirts with asian writing on them, japanese wannabes. I was one of those people who said FF13 would never come to 360. I thought Square Enix would be nuts to bring it to 360, so I dismissed all the rumors. I cannot believe Square Enix is doing this. Seriously, wtf are they thinking? Lost Odyssey sold respectably, but come on now...we all know that western rpgs sell a hell of a lot better on 360 than Jrpgs. Oblivion and Mass Effect have been big sellers. The PS2 crowd is NOT the same as the 360 crowd. During the PS2 era, a lot of Jrpgs sold well in the United States. With 360, Jrpgs (excluding Lost Odyssey) have only had mediocre sales. I think FF13 will sell OK on 360, but it won't sell nearly as well as what Square Enix would like. AvIdGaMeR444

I never played any other FFs I am slowly getting into JRPGs this gen so maybe, if it gets good reviews.

I said a lot of PS2 rpgs sold well in the United States...not all of them. Yes, PS2 was basically flooded with Jrpgs. Of course not all of them sold well. Xbox 360 only has a few Jrpgs, and ONLY ONE of them has sold decently. Square Enix is taking a gamble on this. I'm sure production costs to make this game for 360 cannot be cheap.

I havent been a hardcore ff fan since 10 ruined the series for me

but i simply have to play and beat it simply because its a final fantasy game

Disgaea 3 and Valkyria Chronicles will not sell more than Lost Odyssey. This I can guarantee.
