I think it's brilliant. Take the already impressive DSi library, add in a pretty darn good web brower (which unfortunatly doesn't play videos), a wonderful sound editor/music player, and a fun camera and you've got a perfect little handheld gaming system. The DSi store has got some pretty good games already, although I'm hoping for more free apps. Hope that helps.

Well sorry but when that guy asked the point of this topic, how else should I respond?

But really..this should be on the DS board. Anyways..let's see. Briefly:

-I like the new matte finish, though I heard that the finish does damage/scratch somewhat easily (I wouldn't know, I take care of my stuff.)

-New DSi menu is awesome

-The screen is noticibly larger than my DS Lite's..and I feel comfortable holding it a little further from my face.

-I love the new power & menu-return button. I hated having to turn my DS Lite off and on all the time.

-Being able to quickly adjust screen brightness (Select + Volume) is an excellent addition.

-I haven't found much use for the camera, other than to take pics as wallpaper for my DSi's background.

-The DSi's sound hardware seems to be a large step up over the DS Lite.

-The music player works really well IF you are good at organizing your music library yourself. You can't just throw music on your SD card..there's no automatic organization of your music. Again, sound quality is excellent. If you utilize it, that's one less device to carry around with you.

-Browser is cool to play around with, but that's about it. I haven't purchased any DSi Ware stuff yet (most of it so far seems to range from bad to mediocre. Waiting on something worthwhile.)

There's no single enormous improvement. Just a ton of smaller things that add up to make it a worthwhile upgrade. Gave away my DS Lite shortly after I got it. Yeah, the GBA slot is gone, but I'll just dig out my GBA if I want to play something on it..

I agree that some people are really stupid and need to stop taking the whole 'Sytem WARS' part so seriously and think every thread is attacking them, however uneashing your INFINITE RAGE will not help them change into better users.

On Topic: The DSi has cool features, but its price and current downloadbale library are not enough to make the change from DS Lite just yet.

I'm not reporting you for this but there's a lot of people that will. Sad fact, but any negative name-calling, even as mild as that, will get you modded.

Now, to respond to your thread, I love my DSi. I have a pretty in-depth blog post here.

I love mine, but I've never owned a DS before so that is a plus...TC you don't need to be an ass he was asking a geniune question, just putting that out there

I use it every day and the more I use it, the more reasons I findto continue using it every day, many of them being non-gaming related. To show how much I enjoy having a DSi, I just bought a new PSP game that I enjoy very much(now one of my favorite games)but I haven't touched it since I made a new discovery of something else to do with my DSi. My PSP is right next to me and yet I haven't touched it in days.
