They had assassination like knife attacks in Killzone 1, if you played as luger.

They looked more like Melee Attacks to me.....
But anyways it has been said before netheir Halo or KZ invented assassinationsP so really it's a pointless argument. Bit like who Made jetpacks first

Did you watch the whole thing ? When he got behind one of the Halghest and sliced his throat.
Reach assassinations look sure different from Killzone onesNo i was saying Halo Reach stole them from Killzone 1.
telefanatic
all we know now is sometime ago halo reach showed jet packs, and fancy melee kills...then all of a sudden KZ3 has it...
People said that? Oh gee golly, I must have missed it. I hardly venture in the 'Killzone 3 will rape Halo Reach' or 'Reach will destroy Killzone 3' threads. There so dull.Racer_XLR
Understandable.
they said it along with the jetpack thing (which was in Killzone liberation, and handle completely differently)

Same company so...Same case for GG. Jetpacks and cinematic melee kills have been in Killzone before. Same company is putting them in Killzone 3.
Thank you. I've been looking for a video demonstration for awhile and couldn't find it :P.They had assassination like knife attacks in Killzone 1, if you played as luger.

Guerrilla said they wanted to revisit some designs in their previous games (including jetpacks). They should have brought back 4 playable characters ! All who provide a different play sty|e. I haven't seen that in a shooter since (besides Clive Barker's Jericho, which wasn't too good hehe).

I have been looking for a video of it too for awhile, just got lucky and found 1.
Also, I really whish they would bring back secondary fire. I loved it so.
Along with the flare gun sized grenade launcher. "He only has a pistol" boom.
About a month and a half after jetpacks and assassinations were first revealed in Halo Reach, KZ3 was announced. Do you think they implemented similar ideas in one month's time? If so, you're giving their programmers and artists too much credit :P.all we know now is sometime ago halo reach showed jet packs, and fancy melee kills...then all of a sudden KZ3 has it...

Then again, maybe Geurrilla hired someone to infiltrate Bungie to see what they were doing, so that they could mimic their ideas :P :|.

He was saying Wolf to Doom. This is like saying Halo3 copied halo2.That's the point. People are trying to claim GG copied Halo with jetpacks and cinemtic melee kills (havn't heard much of this one, though), yet both of those have already been in Killzone since it's debute title.
Thank you. I've been looking for a video demonstration for awhile and couldn't find it :P.[QUOTE="Episode_Eve"]

I think you're referring to the Battle Pistol. It was great! I want them to bring the Squad Cannon back :). It was literally a mini portable tank cannon lol.Way to miss (or ignore) the entire point of the thread.all we know now is sometime ago halo reach showed jet packs, and fancy melee kills...then all of a sudden KZ3 has it...

Killzone was supposed to be the Halo Killer. but it didn't kill Halo at all.:P

You're right, Modern Warfare did. Just look how that series turned out.
Well duh its on 3 platforms. Halo 3 sold more on xbox than MW2 on xbox. :D
Halo 3 has been out for almost 3 years. MW2 is on pace to outsell it on 360 and its been less than a year. I think it's gonna be interesting to see which game sells more on 360 Halo Reach or Black Ops.no sorry jetpacks and melee were known...quite a while ago...[QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"] About a month and a half after jetpacks and assassinations were first revealed in Halo Reach, KZ3 was announced. I missed or ignored it? the point is...he said this had it. yet reach showed fancy fancy melee's and jetpacks then KZ3 has em...the melee attacks look quite simliar even. I was dealing with the point completely.
Edit: I edited for the fact they dont look exactly teh same but quite similiar.
Has anyone even said this? :? Are we countering claims that haven't even been made now? :PNinja-HippoI'm in almost every Killzone discussion :P. Trust me when I say I've seen this claim several times.

I think it's gonna be interesting to see which game sells more on 360 Halo Reach or Black Ops.It's too bad, because Black Ops is assumed to have all the glitches and gameplay issues MW2 had for no reason other than it's a CoD game. That alone will have a huge impact on it's sales (which will still be incredible regardless).
Stop comparing KZ to Halo.
Its just wrong to compare a subpar game like KZ to a quality title like Halo.
Seriously its not right.
-Ninja_Dog-
Yeah, there's no way a sequel to 2009's GoTY for competative multiplayer and FPS of the year, beating out Halo ODST and Halo 3's Online, could POSSIBLY be as good as the Halo franchise, right?

...please it was something different..it got that new car feeling, but after a week you realized it sucked.
.the melee attacks look all most exactly the same even.WilliamRLBakerMost lol-worthy statement of this thread. Most of Reach's stealth kills involve the player character jumping up on the enemy like a rabid chimpanzee or choke slamming him followed by a knife kill . I have yet to see a melee attack in KZ3 that even resembles that.
