I don't buy games because of the rating they receive, I buy them if I'm interested in the story they offer. I haven't bought a Wii because I'm not a fan of "party" and "casual" type games, and I don't like motion control.
Neither am I dude. One of my favorite Wii games is a hidden gem called Deadly Creatures. It scored 7.5 (good) which is a score I agree with because it's a very niche title. The best bit in the game is when one of two men hits the other with a shovel and he falls on the ground, and then the unconsious man becomes part of the level design. Your crawling all over this man on the floor as a TURANTULA. It's pretty awesome. You see, the "other" thing that Wii is good for is unique games.I don't buy games because of the rating they receive, I buy them if I'm interested in the story they offer. If Goldeneye and Metroid Other M score big (AAA) will you consider buying a Wii? Or are you never getting one no matter what?
That is if Monster Hunter Tri~, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Dead Space Extraction, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Okami aren't already enough reason.
Fried_Shrimp
Well Okami is on another platform but it is true the Wii library is on par if not better than Ps3/360
Some people will dismiss a console and it's line up nomatter what, psp, Xbox, N64, etc
Sorry TC, but the new Goldeneye will be nothing more than a quick cash-in by Activision with its main selling point being nostalgia (apparently it's working since every sheep is falling for it) You're better off with the original, honestly.Arbiterisl33t69
You played it? and yes it is a cash in but so are many sequels... Are you saying this because it is not for your system?
I own a Wii and I wouldn't buy a Wii for those games. They need a lot more than that to convince me to buy their system and if the Wii wasn't a gift I would've never owned one.

That's not the case at all. Think: why would I say that about Goldeneye and not DKCR or M: OM or Zelda? Those are all top-quality games, and Goldeneye is easily one of the best FPS according to most people, but you really expect that rehashed sequel that looks WORSE than the original to be any good, let alone better?[QUOTE="Banjo_Kongfooie"][QUOTE="Arbiterisl33t69"]Sorry TC, but the new Goldeneye will be nothing more than a quick cash-in by Activision with its main selling point being nostalgia (apparently it's working since every sheep is falling for it) You're better off with the original, honestly.Arbiterisl33t69

Why does it matter so much to you if he'll buy a Wii or not? I'm sorry for coming off as harsh but seriously..
Maybe he is concerned a fellow gamer misses out on the Wii's fantastic line up...
and this is system wars and more owners could benefit the Wii's reputation
i had a wii and dont regret selling it, sorry but it was just sitting in the corner, goldeneye wont be anywhere near the n64 version and the crappy wii graphics are just a pain to watch.
i have gotten a wii and ended up selling it 3 times, i really really did try and like the wii, but its just not for me, i have a lot of respect for the wii but ive came to the conclusion that its just not really for me, i may pick up some of the higher rated wii games next gen assuming that nintendo has bc with there next console
so in other words you bought it 3 times.. why dont you just keep it for the case that there is something you like ? i dont know when you sold it. but usually selling consoles does not generate any profits (if you sold it back in 2006 then you probably made a big profit though)i have gotten a wii and ended up selling it 3 times, i really really did try and like the wii, but its just not for me, i have a lot of respect for the wii but ive came to the conclusion that its just not really for me, i may pick up some of the higher rated wii games next gen assuming that nintendo has bc with there next console

Is Okami a Wii exclusive ?
no its not metroid prime triology (GC outside of mp3), mario galaxy 2 (360) and dead space extaction (ps3) are not exclusive as wellNope cause after playing MGS4 I don't rely on other people's opinions to judge a game, I rely on what I think looks good.

Nope. I bought a Wii at launch and after beating Twilight Princess and buying an xbox 360, the Wii just sat in my closet and collected dust. A few months after that I sold it and I havent regretted it.
[QUOTE="Ratchet_Fan8"]anything thats on wii is Bullcrap,so no.Even if they scored AAAAE i'll still think its BS of course,my oppinion.bowser3
Im pretty sure wii-only owners think the same for games on the other consoles.

True but so many multiplats listed... no NMH1,2 or Madworld... TC is attempting to mock the Wii I think :evil:It's not that I'm not getting it no matter what, It's just that it doesn't have any must have games for me even if those score big.
[QUOTE="SpideR_CentS"]Nintendo doesnt care about customers, thats why they never lower their prices, you can still find SMG at full price...SMG2 and NSMBW are the only reasons I want a Wii. However, I bought a Wii for SMG, beat it, it sat there for 5 months and sold it. If they lower the price on the Wii I may buy one.
Ratchet_Fan8
Well lets look at it logically...
Nintendo is a company:Check
Companies want to make $$$:Check
Super Mario Galaxy is still selling: Check
So um why exactly would they lower the price?
I have no interest in any Wii games bar Madworld and even then I'm waiting for a multiplat release for it.
clyde46
Of ALL the games on the console you pick a shallow repetitive game like Madworld? Let me guess it's because its bloody and mature amirite?

If you want my advice pass on Madworld. It's extremely repetitive and shallow. :?
But of course it's your choice :)

It was shallow but it was also a lot of fun if you ask me.didnt play the original till last year, im 16 and it looks good so its not nostalgia.[QUOTE="Arbiterisl33t69"]Sorry TC, but the new Goldeneye will be nothing more than a quick cash-in by Activision with its main selling point being nostalgia (apparently it's working since every sheep is falling for it) You're better off with the original, honestly.kipohippo021
I'm not falling for it because I already know how evil Activision can be.

It was shallow but it was also a lot of fun if you ask me.I thoguht it was fun....for a while. This doesn't happen very often when I play my Wii but my arm actually was getting pretty tired from the waggle involved in that game. I made it to that one Frankenstien boss(it took me forever to get to him) only to die as a result of him healing himself. I was so dismayed by having the start that horrible level all over again I just quit playing and never looked back. :P
Out of curioisty how much was left of that game from where I was at?

He isn't saying it from a logic sense (hardly anyone on SW talks from that sense), he's saying it from a "I want it because it serves me" sense.
