Today, i turned down the PS3 as a Christmas present...

I never asked my parents for a PS3 they just brought it for me in fact i never asked for any system because i just got into college and I know tutiton cost a arm and leg. shadowfox55

Today, i got a call from my mom asking me if i like the Spiderman movies. I thought this was a weird question considering i hate Spiderman so i said, 'you better not be thinking of getting me a PS3.' She said, 'yes i was. Would you rather have a Spiderman movie or a Motorstorm movie?' Hah, a Motorstorm movie! I told her that i would not accept the PS3 for Christmas. I didnt turn the PS3 down because i didnt want it. I turned it down because i couldnt stand my mom spending $500 on me for a gift. Next month i will be buying myself a PS3 for my birthday. :) So has anyone else ever turned down or declined a game system for Christmas?Carmilla31

good for you. I wouldn't want my mom spending that much money on me for christmas either. It's way too much what is basically a toy. that reminds me I still have to pick up a food processor present for her.

e_e I do the same...I don't like my parents spending so much money on me,so I buy what I want with my own money,I'm even playing over half for a Nintendo Wii,whenever I can find one. By the time I find one I may have all the money saved up.

I actually did turn down the PS3 for christmas. Its not that I dont want one. There just are not any games that really interest me now.
