The jrpgs i like are the ones i can get the best weapons/powers/etc. like lost odyssey or blue dragon or kingdom hearts 2 soras best weapon but any other jrpg its to complex . you either have to make the power or weapon with a recipe or combine it with something else and look all over the game just to find it . does anybody else agree?

Not really complex but in a JRPG where i have to craft weapons and the like, i just really cant be bothered to do it. Probably because i always want to get onto the next game and things like that take too longLike you said, i prefer where you search for an ultimate weapon in a dungeon or do a quest to get it. I also dont mind how it was in FFX where you find the ultimate weapon but also need to find the amulets that power it up.

So i sort of agree.

I never really pay attention to all the crafting crap in JRPGs. I got through KH II fine with a minimal amount of crafting.

Too complex.... are you joking? Ultimate weapons should be hard to obtain.

Persona 3 and 4 aren't that complex. You just have to know how to manage your time in that game. :P

Actually sometimes i wonder how people can even stumble on some of the JRPGs hidden stuff without guides. Eg, FFXII the most powerful spear thingy, practically impossible to find it as thre is no hints nothing about the weapon's existence.

I actually feel JRPG's more easy and linear than their american counterparts... I mean for me the strong point of this games is always the story and some of then have little complex things here and there (like the mentioned crafting) but in general they put you in the shoes of a character following an established path were you dont have control on much of the things happening...

I don't bother crafting stuff in JRPGs. The stuff you can make is usually worse than the stuff you can buy or the stuff you can find.
